Well Demonoid has been down for a few weeks now... First it was called a DDOS attack but now the word on the street is the Ukraine Police have shut down the site as per the torrent freak.

Can anyone recommend another torrent site? Demonoid was my bread and butter... I had a 3 to 1 upload ration with over 600 gb uploaded.

If you have a spare invite to one of these sites I would appreciate it.

ive resorted to release log since demonoid's been down for my tv shows but the mirror sites are so frigging slow (unless you have paid membership)

any recommendation for public sites that have relatively decent download rates? Need ones that have comments so I dont download fake/virus-embedded files.

Or if anyone's kind enough to give invites to a TV-oriented website...greatly appreciate it.

faster to search 'ettv' on thepiratebay.se. check on rlslog.net for releases and usually within 15 mins the torrent will be up on thepiratebay.se first, then eztv.it.

none will be that fast if you think the NA seeders on something like thepiratebay.se is slow. after a day of building up seeds i can hit the ceiling on my bb50 connection easily. if you want fast, pay for a usenet subscription, not torrents.

To me the best part of Demonoid was how much older stuff you could find on there. TPB only has new stuff and then it's gone. I'm still hoping Demonoid somehow comes back but I'm starting to lose hope.

Sounds like any malware came from the ads, I'm assuming the admins weren't diligent enough when accepting new ads. They put a lot more work into it than they needed to if it was bogus.

Okay, that's certainly a possible cause for malware. I'm going to be happy if Demonoid is indeed back up as they have a great database for older stuff.
