Restaurant to host birthday party

I have a party of 20 and I need a good restaurant. +if they have anything good for birthdays.
We are in our early twenties. I'm fine with anywhere that isn't in Surrey, Langley, or North Vancouver. As for budget, nothing too expensive like Tojo's but not diners or fast food or Red Robins/Boston Pizza either. I'm done with any kind of food, but the place should be clean, have alcohol and maybe Japanese, not a Chinese banquet.

Um.....a little more info would help? Age range of your group? Budget....? Any geographic restrictions?
Any McDonald's Restaurant could hold a party of 20 if you want....

if you guys are a bit older
i suggest you pick a slightly nicer restaurant, give them 3-4 weeks notice and have them build a prix fixe menu for your group. That way your guest knows how much the meal will be.
Most restaurants will usually be able to give your group 2-3 choices for entrees, 3-4 appie choices and 2-3 dessert options.

Abigail's Party maybe. I think the intimate set up of the place should make for a cool bday dinner!

No to Boathouse.
Reasoning? I know it's a chain, but I heard their steaks are pretty good...it's not a steakhouse I know.

Overall food/price is not that great and the locations are hit and miss. I've tried two locations (mind you, 8 years ago) and yeah. Will not return. Ever.
You could give it try. Your mileage may vary.

lobster summer at the keg gonna end soon.. if you're party is willing to wait a bit longer, you could probably get a reso for that many closer to 9, or a fairly early reso. only yaletown has private rooms though if that's what you're looking for

Minimum 20.

If you want to be able to get up and socialize and have friends who like really good booze I'd suggest Shebeen's in Gastown. It's a Whiskey House that's part of the Sean Heather group and the food is great (Modern Irish) and the selection of Whiskey is amazing.
It's a much more relaxed take on a birthday party but the food is as good as most of bistros, the alcohol is great and the room has a great atmosphere (like a PROPER Irish pub).

If you are in the mood for Japanese Fusion you can come to Ebisu on Robson, we can easily accomodate 25+ people (we have a few parties 20+ every weekend) and there's tons cheap drinks, delicious and big portions for food. No restrictive prix set menus so your friends can all order whatever they want. You can bring your own cake for birthday parties, and since your from RS, I can even hook you up with some free drinks! ;)
... then I read further down and you want Lobster and Steak?... sorry don't have that here lol ... make up your mind! :p

20 people in there means you're renting out the whole place

Monk Mcqueens would've ran your wallet dry.. I rememeber going with my parents and the dinner cost us $170 for 3 people.. (Lobster, king crab, and steak entrees)
Keg is definitely a good choice though. always love their hospitality.

Giving your customers a great birthday threat is a sure way to see them coming back, A table side comedy show sometimes is that perfect gift you can give them. See video at https://plus.google.com/u/1/114082080902725663750/posts
