The people working at the gas station are idiots. I would never let a customer use an unproved container for gas and people have tried. Forget the gas leaking, the fumes can make you dizzy or worse pass out.

I don't think anyone is that stupid. First of all, garbage bags aren't leak proof. Second, I'm going to take a wild guess here and say that the gas will dissolve the plastic bag. Third, how do you pour gas out of a garbage bag without spilling it everywhere. I'm thinking he has some jerry cans wrapped in plastic bags.

I agree with Marco. People are assuming the bags are filled with gasoline because they have the appearance of liquid of holding a liquid, but if you put a box in a garbage bag and gather the top closed the air trapped in it will give a similar appearance. The most logical explanation is far more likely than the most sensationalist one, regardless of the subject.

In this case, I highly doubt the guy is filling the bag. Look how he's standing and how the bag is situated. If he were filling it directly into the bag, he'd have to hold it around the nozzle, so as not to lose any fuel. You can tell he's pumping it into a container.

Here a question though: Why is the person taking the pics using a cell phone around fuel pumps?

Come on, it's simple. First, he probably double-bagged his gas to prevent leaks. When he wants to fill his car he can cut off the corner for easy pouring.
