So basically I'm just wondering if anyone here is interested in playing Grass Volleyball once a week at a park somewhere in the Lower Mainland.

I do have a net, so all I need now are players.

At the start, the weather was really cloudy and windy, but in the end, it cleared up enough to see the sun through the clouds.


The only thing i don't like about this location is the street noise.. but that's something small.

Glad you came across this thread! Hopefully you can make it to one of our meets. Its mostly going to be weekends. So just let me know when you are available. I think slocan park is the best place for the Vball meet but I'm open to suggestions for other locations. Other than that hope to see you on the lost some of these days!

haha. well i'm not gonna sugar coat it to get people to come out and not enjoy themselves. there are people who know how to play, some are really good at it, some who just come out to chill, and some who want to just have fun. hopefully we'll get to see you out there :D

I usually play drop ins on Thursday night at six pack indoor beach which is pretty fun but just a bit pricey. Ladies do get to play for free so that's a good incentive to come out.

Any one have some good suggestions on where to play indoors? I am looking for mostly beginner/intermidiate level to play

Reporting back from Britannia drop in session. The level of play is in the advance category. I was actually learning a lot from tonight. Many many skillful players that can hit, dig, and block. But the whole game play is so intense. Other than that .. anyone still up to play vball tmrw?

no lie.. i'm a shy person, but it's not that bad. its really no different than say... showing up to work on your first day, to some degree. you've never met any of them, they've never met any of you, yet you're all there for the same reason (in this case, to play volleyball)

unless you're a really confrontational type that starts shit over anything, then there really is nothing to be worried about in coming to these meets. thats how i see it anyway.

A Indoor Vball League in Coquitlam. Its basically half the price of the other leagues in BC but i guess alil bit of a drive. Maybe Revscene can make a team of Mens 6s. Im already on a team but im hoping this league is full, and has alil bit of competition. Currently has 3 spots available and season starts Sept 17th

Creekside is alright, but its full for tonight. There are 3 courts but it gets pretty stuffy inside. Not much room behind the back line. Parking is a pain. Competition is hit or miss; last week it was almost all beginner level, but the week before that was solid intermediate level.

Unless u got a pass at Creekside good luck getting in with how there wait list are done. Bonsor is alright but I think Britannia has pretty decent competition there.

Yeah, I bought the 10-drop in pass. It`s worth it IMO. Its cheaper per drop-in and gives you priority wait list. Otherwise, just make sure to call in early in the day. The good thing about Creekside is that it`s the only cc that lets you call in to reserve a drop-in spot.
