overall, i enjoyed the game very much and still play it from time to time. that being said, i've got this on pre-order - steel case and nuketown 2025 :nyan:. i know it'll probably be buggy at release, but i don't mind. the midnight noob madness is :ilied:

really? alot of ppl in the gaming scene complained that mw3 is worse..im always either spawn killing or getting killed in mw3. and the hosting is crap..i remember in the older games the player with the best connection would be the host. in mw3 they changed that so everyone could get a chance to be host

oh ya i forgot about that. the first couple months were brutal for lag in MW3 due to the compensation system or whatever it was, but it has since worked out pretty nicely.

i have been black ops lately and find that the lag is still just as bad as before. what you see is not whats actually happening when watching replays. i know its not my connection because i usually have full bars and its fine playing MW2/MW3.

the lag in black ops has improved for me. when games are searching, I back out if I don't find any games <100ms. with black ops, it's also better with the local search feature
mw2 and 3 don't have this feature, so I find I'm always running on 3 bars. also I'll agree about the spawn system, the maps are too small so I'm always getting shot from behind as players rush into my spawn. mw3's too fast paced compared to its previous games. looking forward to blops 2.!

BLOPS2 is broken on ps3.. lag, cant party up with friends and audio was gurgled up on my last 2 games.. BLOPS and MW3 took about a week to be fixed..

picked up an xbox version at queensborough bb last night. got there at 12:00 didnt leave til 12:30. about 50-60 ppl in line. they only had 5 hardened editions for each console and no care package editions.

nuketown 24/7 is awesome.. was only able to play for an hour before i had to sleep so i could make it in to work.

I picked it up last night as well and played it for a few hours online....

The issues as normal were regarding the lag (the constant migration of hosts) as well as simple lag in the game when to much happens....I know this gets better but still and issue.

The game play to me was way different then any other call of duty in the past...have not put my finger on it yet...but it does seem to be for the better.

The online maps are way different as they offer 'levels' meaning that all game play does not take place on same elevation....I thought this fact was missing in most maps in MW3....

in all its not bad...it also appears that they may have changed the engine that they run the game on as it is now a 1080p game

The class system is kind of cool. It's not really new though. Just a new and more modern interface. Takes a little while to get used to.
*edit* I lied, it is a little different. You can purchase extra perks but you can only carry 10 things. For example 2 Perk 1's but one/two less concussion grenade.

Instead of using cod money to unlock/equip new items you need tokens which you earn from levelling up. Interesting but hampers your ability to experiment with different weapons early on.

From reading about it, it sounds prety unique. IE: You can nix having a secondary weapon to have extra attachments, etc which I think is pretty cool as a pistol isn't always useful to me.

Worth the money? I may just trade in MW3 and Skyrim at EB for it.

Started playing today with my brother, and its definitely more refined and more fun than MW3 and BlackOps1.

the graphics/sprites for weapons etc are much nicer compared to previous MW and BO games, and the sound effects are a huge upgrade over the last blackops.

Zombies mode is crazy fun so far, been exploring the first map with my bro alot. TONS of weapons in zombies that arent available in multiplayer. lots of screaming from me LOL

Class customization is awesome for me, because I very rarely use tactical equipment. so I'm currently subbing in extra perks. dying ALOT because I dont know the maps yet ;p

and for those who were wondering (cause I was wondering), about the custom emblems. you get like 30 something layers unlocked by default already, and you can tweak alot more colors and opacity/transparency, distorted scaling etc... I spent like 50% of my time in the first blackops playing with emblems lolol

ok so my lil cousin just got it for the house lol and he's been playing it. the thing i never liked about black ops was how the multiplayer looked SO cartoonish, kinda. Is it the same with this one ? i know its a stupid question to ask considering i can just look in the game tmrrow or w/e but might as well get my answer now. and no i cant get on the xbox to check right now. Thats kinda what really turned me off from black ops, the fact that everything was just too cartoonish and fake almost. i like it more real, which is why world at war was my favorite

For those having latency/lag issues. Before you go into your came type (where it says core and hardcore, etc.) click X for xbox and should the setting to best. That will solve your problems

Having the same issue Ichi. From what I've read, the fault doesn't lie with telus. The game servers aren't working with certain ISP's like telus. Just got the game today and all I want to do is play multiplayer. :okay:
