I have an elemental designs a2-300 subwoofer that recently stopped working.

Im not sure whats wrong with it. The light on the amp still comes on when its plugged in.

Does anyone have an experience with home theatre equipment that can help me out. Or recommend a reputable shop I can take it to get it checked out.

Take off the amp and see if the sub is still connected to amp. Could be just a lose connection. If that's not the problem hook up the amp to another speaker, keep the volume low. If the other speaker makes sound there is something wrong with subwoofer. If the speaker makes no sound it's the amp.
