i plugged in a new hard drive into my comp and my comp says device driver software was not successfully installed.

i am installing this new hard drive

Right click Computer > Manage > Storage > Disk Management > Format said drive

it says disk 0
unallocated

Right click it then hit format and follow instructions

its not on the top list its only on the bottom list

dont get what you mean... your disk is recognized, its just you need to format it to be able to see it by windows.

Simple google search would be able to help you alot too.
