DSLR Noob
Hi,
My parents randomly got a used DSLR.
I'm a noob when it comes to cameras, I've never owned one myself.
I was wondering what settings I should have if I want to take pictures of my watch? So at close range, so I can see everything clearly.
Both indoor (under poor lighting) and outdoor, I guess?
Thanks!

What camera model? What lens?
Chances are it's probably a kit lens attached to it. You won't be able to get good close up shots with it. It's not the same as pressing the 'macro' button on your every day digital camera.

Take a picture standing back don't zoom in and then crop it in photoshop.

There's no macro function on DSLRs. You need macro lenses.
Take a picture as close as you can and crop it after.
It's impossible to explain the functions of a DSLR to someone that doesn't know anything about cameras or photography. Just put it in auto for now and play around with it. If your pictures are blurry, set it on a tripod or a bean bag or something and use the timer function (looks like a watch). Then go read photography for beginners on the internet so you know the basic terms.
