Think about it this way: How many cars are in Canada? How many of them are pushing 700hp? Therefore, theoretically, his claims that his car is one of the fastest in Canada isn't really that farfetched. Especially for a street legal, stock-looking car.

He had a shit of work done OP, Z06 dyno anywhere between 420 to 450 stock. You are right, its impossible to get 250 rwhp out of a supercharger alone, but I did see a bolt-on only Z06 (Headers, full exhaust, ram air intake, and a dyno tune) put down 530 rwhp in front of my eyes... A Vortech Supercharger kit is capable of adding anywhere between 100 rwhp to 120 rwhp. You do the math!

Here is a MT article for on a supercharged LS7:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if we are talking about a 10 second civic, we are talking either an engine swap or a MASSIVE turbo which probably only runs on race gas... Mind you I don't think that a 700 hp Z06 is a capable every day car either.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that that Z06 is in my opinion fully capable of being ONE of the fastest cars that were NOT build solely to run a 1/4 mile... In its own category, you would be hard pressed to find a quicker car (once again, my opinion).

It looks like the whole problem here is a discrepancy between what you define as "one of the fastest" and what others and the Corvette owner defines as "one of the fastest".

What is your personal definition?

Mine would be if his car was in the top 100 fastest cars in Canada.

Do I think it is? Probably not.

I would guess that his personal definition is that he is faster than 99.99% of the cars in Canada, and he could be right.

But there are almost 20M cars in Canada, so even if there is 0.01% of cars faster than his, that's still 2000 cars.

Bottom line is, there is no absolute definition of "one of the fastest".

Statistically, he does have one of the fastest cars in Canada. This car would place in the top fraction of 1% of vehicles, even if there are others that are much quicker.
