Back on topic...the premiere was awesome!!
SOOO much better than last season already. The season 2 finale was great, but season 2 sucked for the most part...
Come on, you have people surviving in a world overrun by zombies, and the episodes take place on a farm with like 2 zombies per episode?? I don't care if that's what people would actually do, I watch a ZOMBIE SERIES for ZOMBIES, not relationship drama bullshit.
Sure sprinkle it in here and there, but make the show about zombies. Season 3 premiere did a good job with that.
KEEP IT COMIN!

KEEP IT COMIN! | You will probably will be disappointed eventually because the zombies aren't really the star of the show.

The second season didn't really do that.
I'm saying this premiere episode was a great balance of everything, and they should continue on this path.

I thought the tension between Rick and Shane built up well. Two alpha males who were competing over the same female, it was going to end bad, but when?

Yeah, there certainly was no transition to Carl suddenly being a fearless crackshot with a gun and headshotting zombies like a bawss. Dunno what happened there.
And the best thing that ever happened on the show was Shane getting popped. That was OVERACTING at its peak...so terrible. The accent, the mugging to camera...just awful. I don't doubt the actor was feeling what he was feeling, he just had to dial it back like 250%.

the first episode is very bloody, but I like the idea having two zombie slaves carrying stuff for that woman

I'm guessing they wanted a sharp transition, but I'm like you in the idea that they really didn't build up Carl from a kid into a teenager. Like, he went from pants-wetting young to "I'll fuck you up bitch" far too fast

I thought it was a great episode.

The people behind the show need to get this kid some lessons in handling a firearm, if they insist on his character being a "crack shot" all of a sudden.
