Spec clutches

Well i'm in the market for a new clutch for my upcoming turbo build on my eclipse and I'm having a tough time deciding which clutch to buy. I'm not looking for more than 300ft-lbs of clamping force and ACT and Exedy do have clutches at that rating but they are on the more expensive side. However Spec is offering a clutch at that rating too but at about $70 less.

So has anyone bought a Spec clutch? What are your thoughts?

Owned a Spec clutch in the past. They aren't very good. I know of 3 other people who had them and they were all bad and had to be warrantied but the "chattering" never went away fully. For me, it kept chewing out my clutch cables.

I would never buy them again.

Edit: Epic 20,000th post. 11 years on Revscene. Fuck my life.
