hey guys

turned on the heater for the first time today and saw that the gas flames weren't holding the flame.

the flame will come on for 30-40 seconds and then turn off. in about 20-30 seconds it'll come on again for another 30-40 and turn off. the fan in the furnace spins.

anyone here a furnace tech? not even sure where the hell to start.

any help appreciated.

I'm not sure but maybe the thermocouple that detects the temp is starting to go?

thats exactly what it sounds like. try to move it a bit closer if that doesn't work buy a new one they are super cheap. Just take the old one off and match it up at home depot.
