Has anyone been watching this show yet? It's on the 3rd episode tonight and so far I'm pretty impressed. Has the same kinda look of Smallville but with way more edge and darkness kind of like a Batman feel

I can't stand the acting in this show.

It's okay. They make him a little too invincible to bullets. Always out in the open but never getting hit and firing an arrow faster than a guy who already has him gun cocked and pointed.

Love this show! One of my family members works on it and was telling me a bit about the show before it came out. Green Arrow has always been one of my favourite DC characters, so I was stoked to find out he was getting his own show. I too wish they would give more of his backstory though.

I don't know anything about DC comics, and even I felt they somehow butchered the character of Deadshot.

It was so dumb when Green Arrow was standing behind a wall next to the doorway, and Deadshot went full retard by repeatedly firing through the doorway. Dumbass, fire into the wall and you'll hit the guy hiding behind it.

How did Diggle even know which building to go into? Green Arrow essentially ziplined into the building Deadshot was firing from. Diggle couldn't have known of all the buildings around, which was the one to go into.

And why did he use a red dot sight? You have a scope on your rifle...

I am totally tearing this show apart.

The Wrap reports that "The Pact" star Caity Lotz has been cast in the recurring role of Black Canary for the second season of the hit CW drama. She's expected to progress to series regular, as the longtime DC Comics heroine will serve as a potential romantic interest for Arrow (played by Stephen Amell).

That there might be a spark between the two comes as no surprise, considering the comic-book history of Black Canary and Green Arrow (the two were married shortly before DC's 2011 linewide relaunch). However, given that Cassidy's character is based on the second Black Canary's alter ego Dinah Laurel Lance, many fans expected that the crusading attorney eventually would turn to vigilantism.

Anyone still watch this show? I know season 1 was only okay-good but season 2 if off to a huge bang! Way better than season 1!

The decision to include superpowers and expanding the DC universe has really made this show jam packed and actually feel like a superhero tv show.

I won't say who but a pretty big villain name that everyone knows from batman was dropped in the latest episode.

Oh and the previews for the next episode teased yet another batman villain....

Really loving this show! Half way through Season 1 it was still on the fence for me. I thought it was kind of cheesy at times but as that Season went on, it grew on me. By the end of the Season it quickly went up in my rankings as one of my weekly shows I look forward to the most.

Season 2 has been even better thus far and at this point I'm surprised that this show is still not really been talked about much.

Another show in the same category for anyone interested is Nikita. Which will air it's 4th and final season shortly. I know, looks cheesy and it has Maggie Q so it probably can't be great. I thought the same but it's surprisingly really solid imo.

There's still a lot of cheesy moments. Like the scene where Laurel realized she was mistakenly blaming the hood, when she should be blaming herself. Some pretty poor acting there too.

Then there's just plain dumb moments, like when cops don't take cover first before returning fire.

I did like the moment where Oliver and Sarah were talking at the club. Pretty nice chemistry there.

But ya. This show has tons of flaws but that was sorta expected going into this show. guilty pleasure show.

When I first started the show last year it was just something I watched just because it's a superhero tv show. But now I actually look forward to it week after week.

this is a really amazing show, im surprised more revscene members dont watch it. only problem i have really is the uncanny ability to dodge bullets, its getting ridiculous... someone needs to be shot soon. great story arc, love how its a little darker especially coming from DC but seems like they've adapted a batman feel to it. love how they use spartacus actors, they make the heroes and villians so much more badass

Not sure I'm entirely happy about how they brought Oli back. There's some talk that the show writers were miffed with Stephen Amell that he implied lazarus pits would be used so they changed how he was brought back. Also kind of disappointed that the Canary Cry is still a gadget, but I get it's keeping with the no super powers on Arrow thing. Other than that I thought it was a pretty good ep. Thoughts?

Well if you think about it, the lazarus pit doesn't really make sense. Only Ra's was able to use it and stay somewhat sane (other than I think Batman).

i think they're saving it for later on, one of the writers confirmed that they have a set for the lazarus pit and also theres a sketch of sara possibly coming out of it. i love how diggle just struts around in a suit, zero fucks given. oh who am i? im oliver queens mother fucking body guard okay, but i also work with the arrow, the red arrow and sometimes the canary but most the time ill hang out with roy, oliver and sara

yeah arrow really sucks for battle realism, first the storm trooper henchmen, then all your regular cast becoming ninjas overnight brick being invulnerable to bullets but arrows pierce him no problem...

Both arrow and flash have a lot if wtf moments. Sometimes the show is smart bout these things and other times they fall completely flat. Wonder why there is so little consistency.

The action is usually bad. It's so obvious when it's an extra. Thea is sooooo not convincing as some bad ass fighter.

But meh. I still enjoy it since I love all superhero shit.

merlin doesn't think he can take out Ras, so he devises a plan to get oliver to do it, believing oliver would be able to. oliver fails, and now wants merlin (who didn't believe he himself could take down Ras) to train him so he can fight Ras again.

I feel like s3 was very hit or miss. I'm not thrilled with how they ended this season, it felt more like they were ending the series. Which is disappointing after how s2 ended (spectacularly). I understand they're trying to take the show in a different direction next season (lighter according to a couple of the articles I've read) but that really was weak =/
