Please know when the appropriate time to use auxiliary lights is. That's all.

Nmotion does not sell fog/driving lights, they only install them. Atleast that's what they told me...

k2's switch and wiring harness/relay is pretty terrible quality.

I got my foglights through them, and I just bypassed all the switch stuff. Used a relay I had lying around, and wired them so they come on with my headlights.

If they're OEM or OEM replicas, consider trying to DIY. It's straightforward, especially with guides online on how to install them.

I did look into them, and it's definitely not hard, but I didn't see the point really...it's not like they're a hazard to anyone?

I know technically they're "illegal" to have them on at all times but there are so many people driving around with fogs on that I thought I'd just join in :troll:

But if worse comes to worse I will add the switch haha

^ oops, I thought you were the OP asking about where to install fogs.

The crappy part with adding a switch is picking a place to run the wire through the firewall and then finding a spot to put the switch, especially if the switch is not OEM.

^which is why I didn't do it lol

If you supply the parts, any shop should be able to do a basic foglight install in 2~3 hours, give or take. Shops charge usually $80 and up, so it'll just be by the hour.

Daytime running lamps

4.08 A motor vehicle may be equipped with daytime running lamps, mounted on the front of the vehicleat a height of not less than 30 cm and not more than 2.11 m, that comply with the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act (Canada).

Your DRL's must be above 30cm from the ground, so unless you drive a 4x4 I don't think they comply with the MVA.

are they supposed to align the lights they install?

Is there a MVA section that relates specifically to fog lights, not DRL's?

Is it illegal to have them on during the daytime when no fog is present? For example I turn them on along with my headlights when its pissing rain just so others can see me a little better.

^I remember looking for it, and in some states/provinces, it is illegal...in BC, I couldn't find anything relating to when they could be turned on.

I've driven behind police cars during normal conditions with my fogs on but I've never been pulled over because of it.

Perhaps the real officers on RS can comment on it?

Yes. If it says "for off-road use only" then you may not use them "on-road" and may only use them "off-road".
