Hey guys,

anyone know where I can find myself some Tanner Good's belts locally? Checked their Vancouver distributors list and Mr Lee's seem to have closed down. :okay:

If you're looking for the natural leather tanner goods, may want to give this a shot. I made my own full grain natural belt and it only cost $30. Only downside is that the store is in Surrey :P.

It's not that far in Surrey. It's less than 5 minutes from the Pattullo bridge.

Here's a recent picture of mine at 13 months. Left is what it is now, right is what it used to be.

I skytrained to gateway and walked 10 mins or so there! I guess its convenient for both driving and transitting.

Belt looks sick! I kind of want to go back and make another belt with just one hole... How did you cut the end to look so nice? I just cut mine vertically LOL

I used my mink oil container as a guide. Drew the curve with a pencil and then went at it a few times, as shown by the various cuts and snips on the pale end LOL

Went to Tandy the other and picked up some straps and belt blanks. Going to try making some wristbands and belts.

I'm not leather expert but the quality of the leather feels a bit different from my Tanner Goods belt. Maybe it needs some breaking in.

Also, does anyone know where to get the hardware for a bit cheaper? Like the rivets and the button studs / washers? They're about $3 each at Tandy.

Yeah mine definitely did. It was literally stiff as a board when I wore it the first few times. I remember holding it up from the middle and it not drooping down all the way. Don't forget to oil it! Unlike Tanner Goods belts, these belts come dry as heck, so extra care will be needed to keep it fresh.
