Here is what people are posting on their status' (if you're not familiar)
In response to the new Facebook guidelines I hereby declare that my copyright is attached to all of my personal details, illustrations, comics, paintings, professional photos and videos, etc. (as a result of the Berner Convention).
For commercial use of the above my written consent is needed at all times!

(Anyone reading this can copy this text and paste it on their Facebook ...Wall. This will place them under protection of copyright laws. By the present communiqué, I notify Facebook that it is strictly forbidden to disclose, copy, distribute, disseminate, or take any other action against me on the basis of this profile and/or its contents. The aforementioned prohibited actions also apply to employees, students, agents and/or any staff under Facebook's direction or control. The content of this profile is private and confidential information. The violation of my privacy is punished by law (UCC 1 1-308-308 1-103 and the Rome Statute).

Facebook is now an open capital entity. All members are recommended to publish a notice like this, or if you prefer, you may copy and paste this version. If you do not publish a statement at least once, you will be tacitly allowing the use of elements such as your photos as well as the information contained in your profile status updates.

Just curious to see if anyone else is surprised by the people who are posting this? There are the classic people I expect this from, but i've noticed this time around the more intelligent people have also been duped by this and have posted this to their status.

It is pretty funny though. Especially since some of my friends are trolling those who post this status.

Facebook owns everything that's on Facebook... you can't copyright something that's theirs..

If you don't want FB invading your privacy, just don't use it :suspicious:

I love how people get so up in arms about their privacy terms. FB hasn't forced anyone to make an account and put their information onto it.....people do it themselves, willingly. If you don't want your information used/sold to third parties or however FB wants to use it, then plain and simply do not put your information onto FB. What an interesting concept eh?

Fapping & wykydtron worded everything correctly...
You dont want your info used illegally, dont post your personal info then. Simple as that. Nobody asked you to make an account, you just stumbled upon the site and decided the whole world needs to know who are and your info... So dont start in the first place.

This is an idiot filter. It's meant to help us know who to keep on our facebook, and who to remove...

Unless your mom posts it...

And how many people here (who have FB accounts) ever bothered to read the T&C when they signed up? Or when they're updated? I'm betting, uh... NONE?

That's what's funniest about all this - everyone is SO CONCERNED about their rights and privacy, and I bet less than 1% of 1% of FB users posting this shit ever bothered to even TRY to read the Terms and Conditions before just clicking the Agree button. They're freaking out over something that THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT ACTUALLY SAYS!

Have to admit, gotta love chain letters such as this privacy warning, the people Thanking Costco for the free $500 gift cards they've been giving out for weeks, and the people clicking 'like' on made up emotional 'feel good' stories and pictures. Helps me separate the dummies :fuckthatshit:

I'm going to put my sex tapes on the internet soon to promote my book(s) in 2013, if you want privacy, you'd never even use your real name or upload ANYTHING to the internet.

Whatever you put online, is online, somewhere, forever!
