My Craigslist ad:
CHEAP AND RUNNING 1989 Toyota Corolla SR5 Coupe - Winter Ready!
Copy and Pasta:
Ok so for today only (and maybe tomorrow if I'm not hungover), I'm putting my little panda Corolla up for sale. If it doesn't sell it's going straight to the junkyard where she can finally rest in peace after 23 years of hard work
Ideally this would be a good parts car, or if you are bored and have some cash in your pocket you can entertain yourself by driving this thing into garbage cans/trees/fences/people etc.
1989 Toyota Corolla SR5 Coupe
424,000kms (23 years of dedication!)
5 speed manual with a good clutch (Real talk)
White on blue interior in pretty good condition for its age
It has cruise control (Yeah, I was shocked too) that works, power steering, manual windows
Has rear defroster (It works but you'll have arrived to your destination before it even made any difference), no A/C
Has a set of 13" steelies with snow tires at 75%, will come with second set of OEM wheels with all season tires on it but you'll have to grab those later.
Brakes are still ok
***** IT HAS AIRCARE!

******
It's not the desired RWD AE86 Corolla that everyone has their panties soaking wet for, but you can drift this thing too if you put some lunch trays under the rear wheels! But I didn't tell you that

Depending on how I feel, I'll throw in the Alpine deck it has installed with iPod cable attatched
Ok now for the bad parts:
*Car has no key (piece of crap broke in the ignition!) but it starts with a good turn of a screwdriver!
This also means you shouldn't lock it unless you want to inconvenience yourself by being locked out. Always a good excuse to be late for work

424,000kms, the engine runs but the headgasket is going (or is already gone as far as I know). Burns oil but if you drive it nicely it wont burn it very quick.
RF CV joint makes clicky noises
It's rusty
Tiny little pee drips of oil from the drain plug, not enough for it to be a hazard huge concern. I'd probably see a spot the size of a dime overnight.
It does have a sunroof, but it prefers to not work so I don't bother with it's lazy ass
Alignment is off due to installing a new tie rod for RF side. Safety first!
I've owned it for two months, I put 8,000kms since then. It's done it's job, it starts everytime, only let me down for the tie rod and the key thing but other than that it's been a champ.
My asking price is $300obo, or if you have something to offer as trade lets hear them! It'd be better if you wave cash in my face like the picture below
Please email the ad and I'll get right back to you.
IF THE AD IS STILL UP IT'S STILL AVAILABLE** KTHXBAI
