lol @ all the flippino on FB saying "why should there be a fight number 4, pac man clearly won all of em", yeah okay.. first one was a draw, 2nd one was manny in a close bout and 3rd was marquez IMO, hopefully this closes the book for their little saga, althought its really entertaining.. and please, i dont want to hear bout the stupid stepping on the foot shit either, you have a south paw vs a traditional stance, shit bound to happen, even roach said so and i experienced it myself
winner fights bradley? lmao

Great fight! I don't think we'll ever see Pacquiao-Mayweather not just because of this loss, but because Mayweather won't even fight him for $100 million.

Stop bashing all the flips on your feed. A lot of them may not know squat about boxing at all, and yes, a lot of them are kinda brainless. But let them support their pride and joy of their nation. We took a pretty big blow to the morale today after all.
Although I do agree, even though retirement is not really that far-fetched of an option, it's the wrong move. Pacquaio can still bounce back. He still fought like a champ earlier, just caught with two incredible counter-punches.

Manny's corner got out coached. Jmm's corner knew mp would go for the ko. Jmm just used his strength as the best counter puncher in the game and caught Manny. Congrats to Jmm.
I feel like the kings beating the nucks last season. No hate against Jmm since he deserved the win from the last 2 fights. I still wanna see a duckweather pac fight happen. Hopefully, Floyd will lose his fear of losing to Manny and go for a fight.
Perhaps it's karma on Manny for hanging around will filipino politicians that are 1000x more terrible than George Bush or dick Cheney combined.

Agree, mp was leading the scorecards before the ko round. To me, he was even winning that round before the ko.

Meh, Pacquiao was ahead in the fight and got caught, plain and simple. But I take nothing away from Marquez - although behind in the fight, he kept himself in it and gave himself a chance to win, so good for him. He trained hard, stayed focused after he was rattled and found a way to win.
As disappointed as I am that Manny lost, I'm still glad it was a clean cut win for Marquez - no judges, no controversy.
"That's boxing," said Pacquiao, who added he has no plans to retire. "I started to get confident, but I never expected that punch."
Marquez said, "I knew after the last three rounds that he was going for the knockout and I could be knocked out at any time. I hit him with the perfect punch."
Freddie Roach, Pacquiao's trainer, said, "Manny came back and he was in charge. He just got a little too careless, but he was hurting Marquez."
Manic!

Man, that was tough to watch but DAMN what a great fight. What a pace, what a battle! I think Pac needs to keep his focus on boxing rather than all the other stuff.
He sings, acts, and goes into politics. Perhaps the fame has been a bit distracting! A fight between him and Mayweather is still possible.
JMM is beast.

mayweather would murk him.
mayweather would not murk him... im a big fan of money but its not gonna happen, the fight will never happen and even if it did, mayweather will either 1 side rag him to a decision or its gonna be a boring fight.. its their style also, defensive counter puncher vs speedy power

Speaking of Money May...
"Things happen. You live and you learn. The only thing he can do is rejuvenate himself and bounce back like a true champion," stated undefeated pound-for-pound champion Floyd Mayweather, who shared his thoughts on Manny Pacquiao's shocking 6th round knockout loss at the hands of Juan Manuel Marquez. Although he has yet to actually see the fight, Mayweather praised the performances of both fighters and offered some words of advice for the 8-division world champion.
"Marquez is a true champion, Manny Pacquiao is a true champion, both of them went out there and put on a good performance, and that's a good thing for the sport of boxing," Mayweather commented. "I wish Pacquiao nothing but the best. I wish that he can bounce back and he can recoup from this. In the sport of boxing, you have to really dedicate yourself to your craft. You have to really, really dedicate yourself to your craft. I think he's got so many different things on the outside that he worries about, you know. But it was a good thing that he was able to come into the sport, you know, piggyback off my name, and get a bunch of endorsement deals and make a good living. That's a great thing."
As far as the mega-fight with the Filipino icon is concerned, Mayweather suggests the manner in which Pacquiao was knocked out probably means he has a lot more to think about, and a long way to go, before that fight is ever a possibility again. "Pacquiao's focus should be trying to take a vacation, get his mind right, and get a few tune-up fights so he can bounce back," he explained. "I'm not here to talk bad about Pacquiao. I feel bad for him, honestly. I really feel bad for him. There's a difference in the ways you can get knocked out. See, when a guy gets knocked out and he can get up, they sit him on his stool, they rub his back, he go home and ice himself, you know, he go to the hospital and get checked out and he's okay, that's one thing. But when you gotta wake a guy up with smelling salt and he got a concussion and he gotta go to the hospital over night, that's crucial. I mean, that's close to the death."
Mayweather added, "Hopefully he's okay. My prayers go out to the Pacquiao family. I know he loves the sport of boxing, so hopefully he can bounce back."

Sounds like bounce back words because He said no to $100 mil and now he's worried he'll never see that number again.
But really though that was a brutal knockout.
