	   | A very general survey...on advertising in cabs

(mods feel free to move, if I'm encroaching)
To those who have experienced those LCD's mounted on cabs with the adverts running through them...

 1. Were ads too repetitive (too little companies advertising)?
 2. Was it a touch screen (directory advert)
 3. What would you prefer? a directory or small snippets of ads but repetitive?
 4. Did you find it helpful
 5. Where did you see this things? My limited travels only allowed me to check out the ones in HK and Shanghai

Any other thoughts, please shoot them this way.

 Thanks.

			I don't know anyone who's ever been like . " wow , i love these ads!"
For me, taxi's in chicago are even worse.

			1. Were ads too repetitive (too little companies advertising)? The ads didn't repeat enough in one ride to make me complain.

 2. Was it a touch screen (directory advert)
 yes

 3. What would you prefer? a directory or small snippets of ads but repetitive?
i woulnd't mind repetitive if the ads were fun to watch in some way or another.

 4. Did you find it helpful
no. unless you mean to pass time while stuck in traffic, yes, it helped.

 5. Where did you see this things?
 Shanghai/HK

I have remembered a few ads because they were on all the time and had some catchy song.

Apparently the guy who initially created this in-cab advertising became quite wealthy from this idea. I haven't seen them myself in person but my friend has only said good things about them

 directory

it was general ads for fashion. if it was something useful and allowed to me to navigate thru some options i may be interested. one key thing is the noise. because they had sound i just muted them and dimmed the screen - annoying

 5. Where did you see this things? My limited travels only allowed me to check out the ones in HK and Shanghai

hong kong for me as well

-again if there wasnt noise and they allowed me to choose categories and then bring up suggestions based on advertisers that wud be useful. a general add for gucci however does nothing for me. i guess im saying less awareness advertising and more demand generation advetising, would work

It's like ads anywhere; unless it's super eye catching, I generally ignore any and all ads.
I've yet to see the in-cab ads, though.
