Do you need a 300+ horsepower car to get groceries anymore then you need a AR-15 for home defence?

Yeah sure, because Ford is totally responsible for people's stupidity and arrogance.. :speechless:

But if they didn't equip it with live axle there might be less chances of crashing :troll:

^^^^ that's the point they're making

it's about the talk of gun banning and they think they're being smart

Wow well why don't we ban all cars over 300 hp, sounds like an amazing idea....

Geoc
12-24-2012, 03:37 PM
Isn't this analogy completely flawed? This is equivalent to saying completely banning one specific model of gun, where as the the gun debate issue is regarding a much more general aspect (ie. semi-auto's, or laws regarding all guns.)

Shouldn't it be ban all high output engines instead?

totals all the accidents that happened during the week.... proceeds to blame it all on one car

what r they gonna do next. tally up all the accidents during the year and blame those on mustangs too?

Are you fucking stupid? It doesn't matter if you have a 50hp fiat or a 1000hp street machine. People will crash regardless.

While cars are obviously not built to be killing machines, this is the prevalent argument in the gun control debate, I think that is what the post was really targeting.

Wow well why don't we ban all cars over 300 hp, sounds like an amazing idea....

Actually, Japan used to believe that 300hp cars were too dangerous.
So they had this 280hp gentle agreement.
However they found out that horsepower had nothing to do with accident rate.

It didn't matter if you drove a 100hp Corolla or 450hp Mercedes Benz.
To make a long story short, higher horsepower didn't mean higher accident rate.

Why do so many fucking canadians feel like they need to fight for the right of americans to bear arms. If they change some things, maybe less people will die in the U.S. from gun violence, and oh no, someone you don't know can't get a gun as easily/has to give up the "right" to have enough ammo to kill a small country's army. Notice how the change potentially affects your life more positively than the change affects you negatively? Probably not actually, because you were stupid enough to make this thread.

Because the guns we like to shoot are manufactured in the United States, if the market there is destroyed, the market here is destroyed as well.

You shouldn't be angry at the fact that Americans have the right to firearms, you should be mad with the fact that some of the states have incredibly lackluster control over them. By control, I mean the ease of purchase and register, in addition to regulations requiring their storage.

I have no quarrel with gun control, I have a problem with a potential gun ban.

I said this thread is stupid, and canadians calling those that are hoping for changes to gun laws stupid, are fucking stupid themselves. I don't think guns should be "banned and non existent" Such a hope is unrealistic, and unreasonable. I think you and I both agree from your response that gun control should be tightened up, and those that make stupid threads like this, don't understand the situation that U.S. has put themselves in over the "right to bear arms" No realistic person believes that there will ever be a gun ban. We know this stupid troll shit is looking at calling people that are hoping for tighter gun laws, a bunch of bleeding heart, stupid, bunch of pussies. Because idiots like this believe the world is black and white.

I propose we ban fingers. Without fingers we can't pull the trigger on a weapon, or grip a steering wheel.

Without fingers we won't have to suffer the indignity of watching some fob mine for gold on the Skytrain and wipe it on the wall, seat, pole, or his tongue.

We won't have to worry about getting dirt under our nails or having to trim them. And when its cold outside we won't have to deal with frozen fingers. Chop our fingers off from birth and give us a life of liberty. A life well lived.

In a fingerless world computer companies will finally focus on perfecting voice recognition software so we can control our phones, computers, and even our televisions with the power of our voice.

And in a world where we have flat flippers for hands, absent of digits, your girlfriends can no longer give you dispassionate handjobs. No sir. This means more blowjobs for all of us!

Car spins out of control and hits wall! crazy accident - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXl5M4vycAU)

Can someone explain how this happened?
I never knew going forward on a highway could be so complicated.

i don't believe guns should be completely banned in the states. if you keep it on your property, for sport shooting or the zombie apocalypse, i see no wrong with that.

it's the culture of liberal gun wielding, the right to walk in public with a firearm and the excess of firearms in the US I see a problem with.

people in crime are going to find a way to get black market guns. but those people usually us them on each other or for intimidation for personal gain.

it's that random wackos that use legal guns, that do the mass killings.

i'd just like to see it harder to find guns for those folks.
