Hey guys.

So my company usually allows us to work 8-2 on nye and xmas eve and they would pay us for the remaining 3 hrs. This year about a day or two before xmas eve they decided to change their minds. They changed it to 8-2 and would only pay us for the hours we worked. Since it was their decision to cut the hours are they obligated to pay us for the rest? This is an 830-5 full time job.

no they are not obligated to pay you for the remaining 3hours unless you sign a contract with them stating that you will get 40hours per week. Full time in BC iirc is anything over 30hours. so unless you have a written previous agreement chances are you wont get paid for it.
