The Fastline shifter is a two piece assembly and the bottom is weighted to make it feel similar to stock throw. Best bang for buck for EGs apparently so i decided to try it out

Well I put it on mainly as a joke and to try how a long shifter feels. I was on vacation and it was cheap and I thought I'd get it as a souvenir lol. I appreciate your insight about it looking retarded, I will put on a 490 Blox soon.

I keep wanting to get a woodgrain Grip Royal or Nardi but I got used to the small wheel already. Just feels too good. Just that sometimes I can't see how fast I'm going cuz it's in the way of the cluster

Feels really comfortable in my opinion. There is less distance between the steering wheel and shifter. It also gets rid of that "lean" that most people do.

Hands are supposed to be on the steering wheel, and that time that we spend with our hand on the shifter we lose 50% of our steering control! Thats why rally cars and whatnot have shifters very close to the wheel

I see, I guess the original position of the knob is quite far from the driver? Never driven an EG before so I wouldn't know. Thinking of getting an EG after the Miata lol, always liked hatches!
