i dunno that was pretty meh.. if it wasnt for the Choir i thought it would have been pretty lack luster, hard to compare the original but it sounded better to be from 1975..
didn't know who Heart was had to google and then realized; heard all their songs before but never knew the name of the group
They recorded at Mushroom Studios here in Vancouver. How the group formed and came here is an interesting story - can't remember all the details but it involves Vietnam Draft Dodgers and family coming to Canada to visit where key members met.
They have done led zeppelin covers before as well. Hearts cover of “the battle of evermore” from the singles soundtrack as “the lovemongers” is a better cover in my opinion, has a much more personal sound.
So good. STH is a song I haven't listened to in full for a long time, perhaps in many years just because of how much I've heard it when I was young (there are a lot of great songs like this that have just been overplayed), but that was refreshing. Listening to this cover really rejuvenated my interest and awareness into why it really is still one of the best rock songs ever written...
Ann Wilson = one of the greatest rock singers ever. Just listen to Heart's "Alone."
now that you mentioned it i went to youtube the video so i could remember how it went, i forgot how awesome that video was. brought me back to elementary school
