My friend believes that her 08 evo clutch is slipping. She says after a gear change it doesn't accelerate as hard as it so to, although it only has 58000kms.
So the dealer wants 2500$ for the clutch change. Which seems expensive, i have had clutches change before on other cars for 800$ but this car is a evo2500$ still is pretty high
SO shes looking to see if there's any other shop that specialize in evo that does clutches and if they would be cheaper than the dealership. any advice? any reputable evo shops that i can call?

We dont "specialize" in Evo's but can do your clutch $2500 is real high and before spending that kinda money or any money for that matter have it diagnosed properly first.

Bingo! Get it properly diagnosed first. Many RS sponsors would do the job for her including the man who made the post above mine.
Good Luck!

Gearheads has a lot of experience with Evo's
The car definitely needs to be diagnosed before any parts are ordered

In before RalliartLove
Make sure it's taken to the streets and tested out before you walk into a shop and just ask for a clutch replacement.
^^^Like he said, EvoLove just got it changed a few months ago. Try PM him.

T4 its okay theres always milfs :troll:
now back to the topic
i got my clutch done at speed syndicate the pricing was a little high but not as high as dealer but for the quality and workmanship, it was well worth it. If price is a factor call around and ask people for a quote after you have gotten it diagnose, but i would definitely recommend you go to one of the rs sponsors.
Edit: +1 for speed syndicate

We specialize in evo's. Is it an MR edition with the twin clutch?? If so it's a wet clutch and the transmission has to come apart. We have the special tools which makes the job a lot easier. Either way we've worked on all models and could definately diagnose it for her.
