Corvette is not like Porsche 911 where they progressed from previous generation.
For example, if you look at C1 or C2 Corvette, can you tell the resembles in C7 or even C6?
If you look at Porsche 911, you can easily tell it's the 911 at any generation.
Whereas Corvette...at some generation it could be Nissan Z car, Ferrari, etc.

I think people will hate this car even more. While Vettes were kicking Porsches asses for years performance-wise, a Porsche fan could always fall back on the touchy-feely stuff like the crappy interior. Now that the Vette has what appears to be a significant upgrade to the interior there's less for people to bitch about. I wonder what they'll come up with next to bash this Vette? There just HAS to be some flaw with it somewhere that puts it beneath the mighty 911.

However, i'm pretty sure its still going be a z06 not a z07. Like i said you get what you pay for! 6 figures for a nsx(personally not digging the design, looks mediocre at best,) or save yourself 40-50 grand and opt for a vette which will most likely run circles around the nsx in both a straight line and track, + looks. Not to even compare is to a to the new z06 (most likely come stock with 550+hp). I want a car where u can feel the raw power when you step on the gas, and connects the car and driver(a real sports car), not a supposed v6 turbo electric hybrid (w.e u wanna call it:suspicious:)

This is the problem with a name. Because we call it Corvette we have a bunch of fanboys that start dictating what needs to happen with the design.

Hell, the round tails weren't even a part of the original corvette. I want to say 1962? and realistically, I get a very large sense of the original corvette with the front grill opening.

Why would I want to go and buy a new rear bumper, have it installed, and painted to match to have people look at my car and say, "hey, your car looks like the old corvette"

I may be a fanboi but I'm not dictating what needs to happen with the design. If I dictated the design it would be a 63 split window body on a c7 drivetrain. It's just different after 53 years of similar taillights. It would be like Porsche getting rid of headlight humps. Early C1 didn't have round lights. C1 pretty much shares nothing in common with the rest of generations. C2/C3/C4/C5/C6 did. This car is called stingray and C2 was when the original stingray started.

People change their wheels and plastidip every surface known to man, I don't think they are dictating what the design should be. Just making it their own.

In all honesty, yes the C4 now looks dated, but at the time it was a revolutionary design. Especially compared to the car it replaced, and the cars available on the market.

Seriously, the C4's stunning. I'd proudly own one.

Here's the thing. The C4's a shaven down C3, to my eye. The C3's basic lines are beautiful, so the subdued C4's quite nice, but the visceral side-piped sex appeal of the C3 leaves it seeming lacking. The 205hp of the C4 in comparison to the C3's higher hp numbers only furthers that impression.

The C5, now, that's a revolutionary car. The C5's design's the most radically divergent of the breed, and it set the stage for the C6 and C7.
