Hey guys and gals, would you make use of a parenting forum here on Revscene where people can trade tips and tricks to raising their children? Kind of like the pet forum, but for less hairy things that crap on your rug.


I don't know. I'm not a parent. How would you guys feel about it?

I guess since the original (circa 2001 - 2007) user base is getting older, and are starting to have kids and such, this may be a good idea. Try a test run possibly first.

I'm sure MG1 will have a lot of advice for new parents out there as well.

I would be tempted to change "Home and Home Renovations" to "Home and Family"
Or add a subforum to Relationships, since any parenting forum would have to be moderated more closely anyways.

i think it would need clear rules in terms of sharing info and not getting on a soap box and judging people or flaming based on where people are coming from. i can see 1 FC potential argument being if/when you spank your kids vs people that believe in no striking of their children.

I would definitely love to see a parenting forum become part of Revscene. It could really help anyone deciding to start a family that has questions they may not feel comfortable asking their friends.
