is it normal for the area to have a rotten smell for a while? one of my wisdom teeth were impacting one of my molars and the smell from that wisdom is now stuck to the back of the exposed molar. my breathe is fine but when i blow air towards the back of the molar i can smell it. :ohgodwhy: i tried rinsing for a week now and brushing the area like a biatch!

I just want to say, this has the makings of a quality thread. There is interest, intrigue and necrotizing flesh.

Welcome! I'm glad you came here for help! You came to the right place! First, you want to understand that your mouth and dental health is really not as complicated as you may think. Dentists go to school for four years after undergraduate school mostly because they like reading. To eliminate this smell you will most probably have to remove 2 more teeth...I would use a wrench to do this but also a small chisel in case it is really stubborn. Any of these tools can be found at your local Home Depot.

I noticed your new to this forum so for the future if you ever have an Emergency, Medical Concern, or an Accident, please come here first. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THOSE SO-CALLED "PROFESSIONALS!" They don't know what they're talking about!

Best of luck!

Sounds like they hit a brain nerve resulting in a change in your smelling patterns, from what I remember this is usually permanent unless the nerve is fixed in the first few days

could be infected. Were you prescribed any antibiotics by your dentist? I had an infection from an incision in my mouth a few years back, it sucked. Went through 3 different antibiotics before it went away. Started to puss, and all the good stuff!

Sounds like due to the previous issues with his wisdom teeth all of his teeth are now rotton. The next logical step is to pull your own teeth out with pliers one by one since you shouldn't waste money on a dentist cause RS knowns best. Good luck and be sure to youtube your procedure :)

He probably has "dry socket", will go away in 6 days. If it persists, he may have periodontal disease or gastric reflux. Hope that helps.

Stop brushing your teeth and go smoke some crack and meth, it should take away the pain and inhibit you from smelling the rot. This should clear it up within 48hrs and prevent any chance of septic shock.

Do not see a doctor, they'll just prescribe you useless placebo medications so they can make a claim money from your MSP. You can trust me because I don't want your money.

out of all the retards here, you actually gave a true answer. Went to dentist and also asked another, the wound was still open, i rinsed with salt water and now is healing and the smell completely gone. Just future reference for anyone who gets their wisdoms pulled and don't want answers from retards.:fullofwin:
