1. make a hotmail acc. Sign In (http://www.hotmail.com) or use an existing hotmail one
2. goto the offer page (http://www.microsofthup.com/hupca/home.aspx?culture=en-CA) and enter your hotmail acc and the code/program # 05383F4FAC click submit.
3. goto hotmail and open email link to buy but don't do anything.
4. open another NEW tab to the MS office offer again (http://www.microsofthup.com/hupca/home.aspx?culture=en-CA).
5. EDIT: utoronto.ca is dead, use new code and email suffix at bottom of this post click submit DON'T CLOSE ANY TABS.
6. go back to your hotmail purchase link and NOW add to cart. checkout however you wish.

FOR MAC USERS
i was successful in getting office for mac. first time didnt go through since i tried paying with paypal. second time i followed the exact instructions from 1st post, also paid with credit card instead.

add the windows version into your shopping cart,
then do continue shopping
and from that window you will see both versions.
delete the item in your shopping cart,
then add the mac version
checkout/payment etc

goto your hotmail accounjt and you will get a email with a link to buy, open it, BUT DONT DO ANYTHING TO IT YET

open a 2nd tab/window and goto the offer link again, but this time enter the @utoronto.ca email and other code. then submit again.

now goto your opened email with the link and you can now add MS office to the cart and pay.

note use a long complicated email with numbers as most people are already using asdfdfa@utoronto.ca lol!

I think I broke it.

Tried buying office:mac with paypal. I was waiting for a spot/redirect to input my paypal info. Clicked Confirm Purchase. Says order is currently in a review status, Payment could not be completed.

Then I tried redoing the whole offer with a new hotmail address, and when I try to add even the Windows version into my shopping cart, it always comes up empty.

you're doing it wrong. you need to hav a tab open with the email link open and another tab in the same browser at the offer page, then enter the utoronto.ca and code, then submit.

THEN you can add to cart and pay

don't close any tabs during this process.

Information like if you happen to choose a valid u of t email address the other user MIGHT receive a copy of your registration code. Lucky me just the Hotmail address alone was enough.

The key is embedded into the small installer package. You can tell from the filename. It'll auto activate once it's installed.

The only time you'll need the cdkey is if you grab the iso linked above. You can install on up to 2 devices at a time.

i had the same thing. the 2013 isn't an update. its a full install so just uninstall your 2007 version whenever (i did it after i installed 2013)

i uninstalled it first and then ran the installer. after the completion of streaming the office files, one of my processes, perfbooster.exe crashed followed by the microsoft installer.

I tried to download Office 2016 again, but the page that has the key and the download link says it's expired and not available anymore. The code flashes up for a moment, too. Here's how to get around that:

1. Right-click on the page, and click View Source. A window will popup that has all the HTML.
2. Press CTRL+F and type unit into the search box.

There should be 3 results. The URLs will look like this:
http://www.microsofthup.com/hupca/unitdownloader.aspx?receipt_id=844364505&culture=e n-CA&id=g506f64303235h3d23ed3387ecb19883fe78e673dd&d name=O16.download.name.32

You should be able to click the URLs right from the page source. Otherwise, copy and paste it into a new browser.
The first 2 URLs will download the 32-bit installer. The 3rd URL will download the 64-bit installer.
The product key will be in the filename of the installer. You can also find the product key the page source by searching for fpp. It'll be on the line below that result.
