i don't know if rav 4's etc will make it down to hale as they've got the same ground clearance as a civic. i'm not responsible if something breaks, there'll be extra seats for people who are in not-so-capable vehicles if people need a ride down to the lake. not to discourage anyone, but its a 4x4 trail to the lake. fairly large rocks and the like

Stave is good for a practice run (and a lot closer for me!), good place for the newbs to get their wheels wet.

Edit: few summers ago we took the full-stock Pat up the main Stave logging road with a couple other Pat drivers... got ALMOST all the way to the end, but the CVT tranny didn't want to go up the last steep little bit (the other guys had the FDII drive so they had no problem).

Bottoming out was the least of my worries lol, I was more worried about that hill descent, no steering controls at all :lawl:

For road tires, the 4ETS and low range did okay (throttle wayyy too twitchy tho)

I wouldn't go at night, there are a lot of deep pits (especially on inclines) that you can't really see.

Alright guys... Such a ridiculous story...
Pinoy and I get there and had some fun going through some mud and puddles.. After taking a few photos on the beach we decide to call it a night.. or so I thought....
My brother (RBGodzilla) was waiting for me with our buddy on the other side of the detour sign.. When I was on my way back to them, they decide that their CARS, (Turbo Veloster) and (Skyline) can take on some mud lol.. they meet me on the other side of the sign and proceed to have me escort them through some dirt and gravel.. They surprisingly got pretty far, so I decided to take them up a bigger mud hill.. My truck makes it no problem, and both cars make it up the incline without any issues. I go down the decline and smash my front bumper (which was fixed shortly after; the dent was just popped out), the skyline realizes that it was INSANE, and tries to hit the brakes, but continues to slide toward the edge. He tries to steer into a safer path, but is only greeted by the ear screeching grind of the frame on a rock! He bottomed out completely and was stuck.. This was the start of the night..!! I go around and reverse up the hill to grab my tow strap and hook it onto his tow hooks. Unfortunately, we didnt have any shackles and the strap was too large. We ended up making a slip knot with the strap through his rim on the drivers rear wheel. Long story short, after pulling, stopping, reversing, and rearranging pieces of wood, I pulled him back up to the top where he made a 30 point turn to spin back around and go back the other way and return to safety lol..
We ended up at Tim hortons where we could laugh our asses off at how retarded the situation was.. Anyway that was so much fun.. No damage to the skyline or the veloster and I would do it again in a second..
Special thanks to Pinoy for showing me around the pits and sticking around while I pulled the skyline out.. LETS DO THIS AGAIN TOMORROW LOL:fuckyea:

I almost got my Jeep like that once. I made it through but got stuck on a ledge on the way out. Could back up a few feet but could never get enough of a run at it to get out. Finally just stuck it up with the motor as out of the water as I could and got hauled out. Only casualty was my Root Beer from KFC. :(

Who is down for a unofficial meet and greet tomorrow Friday Feb 15 meet at Timmy's iron wood around 4 have coffee then head down to triangle for just a little bit of fun depending on how many people are down. If not we can try for a Saturday trip out to say stave lake or even harrisson.
