What gifts and souvenirs to bring overseas?

What gifts, food, things and souvenirs do you usually bring back overseas, like Hong Kong? Particularly things only Canada has and they don't.
So far all we have is some chocolate, ginseng, maple syrup and smoked salmon lol..
Side note: where's the best place to buy packaged smoked salmon?

I guess Costco is possibly the cheapest place to get packaged smoked salmon.
Adding to your pile of junk food, get some unique brands and flavors of chips for your friends/family. I often bring Ketchup flavored chips when I go to Hong Kong. Corn nuts are good too.
I like bringing alcohol. I can't stand the stuff, but my uncles in Asia love Crown Whiskey. They think anything North American is better. Gives us a good excuse to sit around eat hot pot and drink. Good times, even if I have to drink that swill. I like Scotch but they hate that stuff.
Candies are also good for my little cousins. They love the sour stuff like fuzzy peaches. Asians also love vitamins. They go crazy for that stuff.

Canadian booze is always popular with the people I take or send stuff too. Crown, some better Rye (Gibson's 18 or 40 creek double barrel), ice wine, all that jazz.

My uncle in China used to own a convenient store, he said Ferrero Rocher doesn't sell too quickly. Heck, I ate all his stock the last time I visited (he doesn't stock up much)

Yup it's purely for face-getting gifts during the holidays... I always wonder what happens to the hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of stock left over at all the grocery stores... You go to park n shop and they build towers with them, and they are pretty expensive :fulloffuck:

If you want, you can bring fresh (live) dungeness crab to hk from Vancouver, I've done it before. Pack it with dry ice. they don't have the same type of crab there.

Kinda far, but last time my friends and I went to Sea Bear smoked salmon outlet in Anacortes, WA. I think they had a coupon for half off and my gf spent over $200 for stuff to bring back to China. Probably only worth the drive if you can get a deal.
Not really racist!

Hawkins Cheezies
those are very good suggestions. although I don't know if HK natives would like the taste of Cheezies very much.

My friends in Asia don't like smoked salmon and they prefer nougat candies, maple syrup, and maple syrup cookies.

Come to think of it, Canadian made, NIOSH approved respirators would be a good gift.
Also, anything made here would be genuine and not a knock off.
