Google maps makes it look like it's just gravel road equivalent and then you try and "find" stuff to challenge yourself. So I would say it's x3 friendly.

Pretty sure a rav4 can handle it. Just stay out of the mud and some of the obstacles. Even then if you get stuck you have these guys to pull you out.

So I knew when I got this YJ that the clutch master cylinder was going (mainly because it came with a BNIB unit that the previous owner never got around to installing). I replaced that (with much swearing) and despite not managing to bleed the system, it seemed to be working alright, though not great. Odd thing though, it's always seemed to work better when cold, with shifts to 1, 2 and R getting harder (though not terrible) after warmup. I checked the fluid level periodically and found practically no change.

Then the other day on the way home, ALL shifts started getting close to impossible without matching revs. Got home, parked it, checked a couple days later (when time permitted) and found the MC almost empty. Topped it up, gave it a few pumps, and all seemed good again - in fact, it seemed to be shifting smoother than ever before since I got it. Nice!

Headed out again a couple days ago, and barely half an hour from home, shifts started getting harder again, until I got where I was going. Parked it there, came back out a few hours later, checked the fluid level (thinking it might be down again), and found it still right up to the top (in fact, since I was on a slight slope, some spilled out when I took the cap off). Drove it home again, and again, shifting was smooth and easy when I started out, and got harder as I went.

Finally yesterday I was going to head out, and found the clutch pedal completely soft and didn't seem to be disengaging at all. I've seen no sign of leakage around the MC or anywhere down the nylon hose, so at this point I'm thinking it's a bad slave (internal, of course). So today I slid underneath for a look... and found no obvious sign of leaking DOT3 around the bell housing either . There's some kind of buildup right at the front by the inspection plate, but it looks older, and generally appears to have come back from further forward on the engine, over time - again, nothing fresh, nothing that looked like recent leaks, and nothing on the ground under it. I haven't had the chance yet this time to check the MC fluid level.

Any other thoughts what might be going on? I know I should still do a proper bleed but the connection fittings have not been very cooperative (and I don't have the proper wrenches, and it's a very tight space).
Alright, well after the pedal going completely flat a couple days ago...

Today I opened up the MC, expecting to see only air... but noooooo, it's still full nearly to the top with fluid. ARGH.

So I pumped the clutch a couple times and seemed to have good pressure... started it up... and it slipped easily into gear. WTF!!!

Pumped it several more times and looked underneath, but still ZERO indication of drips or leaking.

I noticed the fluid was down a wee titch after that (maybe a millimeter or two) so I topped it back up, capped it, and headed out to a dinner engagement. And per usual, it worked great at first but got stickier as I went. Same thing on the way home: easy shifting when I started out, getting harder over time, although a good swift number of pumps would bring it back a bit.

Thinking it must be a big air bubble trapped in the line, or something. At this point, I'll just buy the brake line wrenches I need to fit the bleed fitting... now exactly what sizes are they???

Graham..the guy we met up with at stave that day is planning on going this sunday...he was thinking west side of harrison (fossil beach/vrock) i might go but depends if work needs me. im sure ?uestlove would be down for that...lol
