There will also be a separate square white sticker with black numbers on it. That will be the day of expiration.
are you fucking serious? it expires the day you bought it.. say i bought mine on nov 15th and it expires feb, it be feb 15... and downside for driving with expired plates? its called being NOT INSURED, go ahead and cause an accident, u will be ticketed and will have to pay out of ur own pocket for car damages, injury claims etc etc... please be smart and get ur insurance right

Like Matlock said, there are numbers next on the plate (1-28). That's the day your insurance expires.
If you are driving with no insurance and the police notice, you will be given a $596 ticket for failure to possess insurance, and will have your car towed off the road. If you get in an accident while you are driving uninsured you will have to pay for ALL damages done. If you are not at fault, the other person's insurance should cover you, but you will then get a ticket for failure to have insurance and probably a visit from the cops to see if you continue to drive without it.

Ok thanks. Yes i roughly bought it on the 15 and i was curios why there no charges this month and i assume feb 2013 mean end of feb.
Thanks for all the feedback. gonna ask icbc tomorrow
still got a week, but yeah go before you forget.
Also get them to call ICBC to see if you have a better discount... for some reason the vendors don't always check. They always assume an amount and I have to get them to call in to get the real discounted amount.

it boggles my mind how people like this survive in this world
you have the standard colored sticker with the month and year the insurance expires.
you also have a numbered white sticker. its date represents the insurance expiring at 11:59p of that day.
Hence, if you buy insurance on a new car on say dec 31 2012, they will give you a sticker for the 30th. if i remember correctly.

haha wow... you dont know how the insurance works and your driving..
beside, your insurance doesnt automatically renew itself. ICBC will mail you a letter WELL before your plates expire telling you to renew your plates.
When you say no charges were taken, you must be thinking of the MONTHLY payments...
Look at the rear plate, all the info is on there.
2 digit sticker = day
color sticker = month and year

poser123... Please stay off the roads. Seriously, you are going to kill yourself or someone innocent. Next time you are in your car, please ask someone else to drive. You are a danger to yourself and others motorists around you. :nicethread:
enough with the bandwagon jumping.
