YIKES. FUCK that thing is trying way too hard to be a chromed out F-150. However, there's a rumor that there will be a Tundra Hybrid using the 4.6 V8 as the petrol engine. I can only imagine the new Sequoia :ohgodwhy:...

When it comes to full size trucks, that's where the American companies actually have it right lol.

The front of this thing is a downgrade from the current one.

A grill that big needs big headlights to match IMO.

They followed the F350 lead with having the front end 100% grill, which looks awesome on a big truck, but not quite right on a half ton. Ford put massive headlights on the front of the F350 to match and its the best looking truck front end by a looong way

The new tundra front has too many different angles and different kinds of grill and voids to it making it look super busy. Compared to the front of the F150 or even the Ram and Silverado, those trucks are all simple but proud, not complicated

Only 1 thing can fix that truck:

4.2 I6 diesel + Allison 6 speed/6spd manual

That truck is too much, and trying too hard.

I think as far as the current round of full-size goes, the dodge has it on looks.

In news from 2007

For overseas markets, Toyota is offering an all-new 4.5L diesel V-8 in the new Land Cruiser. The D-4D engine as it has been dubbed features a common rail injection system, the first time that Toyota has used this setup on a V-8 engine. In combination with a pair of variable nozzle turbochargers the new engine generates 286hp at 3,600 rpm and 479lb-ft from 1600 to 2800rpm.

the 4.5L diesel is rated at 23 mpg compared to 16.3 for the 4.7L gasoline engine.

For the time being Toyota is only offering this new diesel V-8 outside of North America.
