u should be fine..i went up with a jk with all terrain stock tires and didnt get stuck...just be sure not to go into the super mucky areas and im sure youll be fine...just remind urself "tread lightly" but ull prolly lose urself wen ur in the mud flats lol

but ill be comming from burnaby, so not sure if it'll be worth going from burnaby to stave to spanish banks...but if a few ppl will stay up at stave, i just might make it a day event!

ps - this trucks an auto...not sure how well autos are when it comes to 4x4ing...never quite taken it hard or anything...think id be able to keep up?

yes..the gravel pit area is gated off...so everyone just pulls of to the side to the entrance of stave...you'll see my car waiting there...grey jeep with a red CB antenna. im coming out from surrey so if neone whos coming from the area let me know and we can have a surrey convoy..

If it were only that easy... the hose just slips over the first bit and no further. It's a really hard plastic, not rubber or anything easy to push on. I tried heating it up a bit but I don't want to overdo it and melt the shit out of it.

Tried a little WD40 already, no help... I don't want it too slick or it'll come right back off again the first time I push the clutch in. Softening the plastic sufficiently is all I can think of, but keeping it warm while pushing it on is eluding me.

I don't think it's gonna work man, the plastic thing is moulded tightly around the barbed fitting from the factory, I don't think it's as easy as just slipping it back on. I'm about to go home, I'll take a better look when I'm on my computer

can you take the hose out of the vehicle? if you can put the barbed fitting in a vice it might make it easier to work with. i'm thinking try getting the fitting hot, and get the plastic a little warm and lubed and use both hands to force it on.

i think if you heat up the plastic and not the fitting, you'd end up stretching the plastic over it. it needs to take the shape of the fitting so it doesn't leak

The hose can come out, but not easily. Thought of heating the fitting, but that means knocking out the roll pin and taking it back out of the cylinder, otherwise the heat will kill the O-ring on it. Argh, this should have been a SIMPLE operation :P

Got the hose on over one barb at least, got it all back together... couldn't get the bleed fitting loose by the slave cylinder, but after much pumping, it seems to be working, if still a little spongy. Hopefully that will work itself out, but for now, it looks like I'm mobile again! Hose wouldn't come off with some hard tugging, and doesn't appear to be leaking at all.

Just got home a few minutes ago... I have 750+ photos on one camera and an 8GB card full of HD video from another... gonna take a while to sort through it all!

Everyone else headed to the RS meet about 11... I stayed up there with a couple BCJC guys, exploring some rough roads and blasting a bunch of clay pigeons, then found our way up to some snow :)

summers comming up...should start doing bbq's out at stave once a month or something...meet around noon...grill some smokies, play in the mud,shoot some clays, have a few beers, grill some burgers for dinner and then head home.

Bah... my network glitched and now Picasa has to re-load all the pictures. Of course, when it thought there were no local pics, the albums got sync'd to match. They should all be back once Picasa re-scans everything.
