So somehow my car got pieces of what I believe to be cement stuck on the hood and one side of the car. The size of the cement isn't bigger than a dime. Should I bring it to a detailer to try to polish it off? Should I try to clay bar it off first?

I wouldnt recommend clay bar. If it does dislodge it it will also swirl it around and gouge your paint. you need to somehow chip it off without chipping the paint

Try a pressure washer to get off the excess first?

If it's a bit of concrete that's hardened on your paint, you should be able to remove it with a bit of pressure, as concrete usually doesn't bind to surfaces. Especially glossy surfaces such as car paint.

I think the key here would be to try to push it away from your car, not into the clear/paint.

If you want to use a cleaner, use vinegar mixed with some water, let it soak in a bit, and wipe it off. You'll probably have to polish/wax after it though.

Without the pics, All i can suggest is using a bug and tar remover, and let it soak for a while, then try gently taking it off WITHOUT rubbing it. (Rubbing will cause scratches) If that works though you'll need to wax panel afterwards.

I brought it to a car wash when i thought it was bird poo, There is miniscule scratches from either me( from picking it off, or from the wash). It's too dark tonight, will try to get pictures in by tomorrow. The scratches aren't deep, so I should be able to use those scratch remover products to buff it away. Thanks for the advice, will keep you guys updated. will also try to pressure wash it.

Thankfully I was able to powerwash it off. It left some residue on the car, but thats better than a chunk of cement :lol:

I'd lubricate that residue heavily with spray wax and clay it ONCE in ONE direction before re kneading clay until most of it is off. then clay normally, Polish, and wax it.
