First off, I'm a total noob with these kinda stuff T_T. I'm sorry if this may seem to be a dumb question to some of you.

my question is.. is it okay to update my Asus RT N56u router's firmware directly to the newest firmware?

Or...

Do i have to upgrade one by one to the newest one?

generally when you update to the latest firmware.. it will also include the previous updates as well

read the update log first, if it is major bug fixing, then sure.
If it's only minor update, dont bother, unless your current firmware is not stable.

unless asus screwed up, you should be able to upgrade straight to the latest
