Sorry about the accident, I was in one a few weeks ago too.

They will give you your car back in the original state so if it had the lip when you were in the accident they will repair or replace it.

If your bumper needs to be replaced you can talk to the shop about getting a different bumper but you'll pay for the difference. I did this once before but ask your shop first.
