Ferrari 458 crashes on public highway (http://www.dpccars.com/car-videos-13/03-07-13page-Ferrari-458-crashes-on-public-highway.htm)

Doesn't this car have electronics to stop these kind of things to happen?

is that the driver in the middle of the road?? and hes obviously driving without traction control on or whatever the stability is... most new cars wont even let u spin the tires over 50km/h with traction control disengaged

i had the ex's 335i out in rain and even with traction control off couldnt get it to do anything wierd above 50, light would still flash, under like 50 it wouldnt come on and i could slide around all i wanted, took out a new srt challenger 486hp ish, traction control off and it wouldnt let me get sideways any faster then 40ish.. there is a way that does fully turn these controls off but its not just a simple press of a button for a second:badpokerface:

Watching them try to timidly merge into traffic showed me everything I needed to know about this driver and his abilities to process traffic and car information...

^mines a lemon :troll:

I can do mini powerslides going 40 km/h albeit slipper conditions and downward slope with regular drive mode. DTC usually doesn't interfere with my driving unless one of my wheels are off the ground and turning.

Being ferrari, full traction control disable is probably a couple flicks of a switch.

Most non-exotics are either incredibly difficult to fully disable tcs, or just plain impossible

My beater being 02, still have no possible way to fully disable traction control. But my main doesnt even have abs :fullofwin:

meh...i wont feel bad when exotic car owners crash their cars because of their own negligence....i will only feel bad when if it was a TRUE accident for example that f40 that crashed locally.

more electronics = less brain usage = more idiots

so if they turn any of the features off, its the same as turning a part of their brain off :derp:

never brake when your tail started sliding unexpectedly. It'll just shift the weight of the car forward and spin out more. if your tail start sliding unexpectedly, just lift your throttle off a bit smoothly and counter steer to get out of it smoothly. Any sudden change of forces will just cause the car to snap out of control.

takes a real man to handle vtec once it kicks in

Driver sucks at driving, trying to merge, got antsy and mashed the gas and ended up in the wall. High performance cars rev super fast, as I'm sure this ferrari owner learned :fuckthatshit:

This.

All DTC does is lower the threshold electronic aids interfere. Holding it for a few seconds disables all aids and lets you slide it however you want.

I can't be the only person clicking into this thread expecting this accident to be in Vancouver?

totally expected a matte white/black, turquoise Tiffany colored 458 somewhere in Richmond if i am honest

lol... but on the side note, now the video has gone public, I hoped the driver told the truth to his insurance broker... or a big law suit is coming up...

is that the driver in the middle of the road??

Looks like it was some luggage or something in the "trunk" that flew out when smashed.

This is another example of a driver with more money than driving skill.

-reminds of the time that comedian Eddie Griffin wrecked that Enzo. :heckno:
-Thanks to that idiot a supercar is destroyed. Eddie said "brother can't drive."

-He's fortunate that he was driving on a race track instead of potentially hurting someone on a public road.

He couldn't merge when he was supposed to and then he gets overconfident when cutting to the outside lane..............

All I read here was
"I don't feel bad for drivers that crash being negligent in the rain in overpowered cars they can't handle."
