Any recommendations for online/local places where I can get good quality led lights for car dome lights/door light/license plate etc?
I've searched around and found some cheap led lights, but unsure of the quality as I don't want the bulb to melt or something...

I've always purchased all my LEDs from eBay (HK sellers, whichever listing is cheapest). The LEDs you get in stores are from the same location anyway, but they drive the price up significantly higher than what they're actually worth.
I've never had any LEDs I purchased from eBay fail on me

autolumination or vleds are both good alternatives if you don't trust eBay.

autolismo.com is local
try sending icemiko a pm, I got mine (license plate lights) off of him for a great price and up till now they are still working perfectly fine and shines a very clear white light that just makes the rear of your car so much more appealing.

Depends, some eBay ones are lame, others are good. HK ones are hit and miss, usually the ones from the US are better. In my experiences, anyway, lol.
10 SMD (I think) 194s from eBay.

If you want insanely bright dome lights, get SMD boards. I also stuffed a 9 SMD board into my license plate ones once, but then took them out since I seriously thought I'd get cop trouble for having them look like reverse lights LOL.
^honestly, I prefer projector led. It is wide angel and bright enough for license plate

ExtremeBrightLEDs.com - Automotive LEDs and HIDs with the best Warranty in the market! (http://www.extremebrightleds.com/default.asp)
ebay user: maple125
he ships out of Canada, plus his leds are lifetime warranty, so when your led burns out, send it back to him and he replaces it for free (you pay shipping though)

i have ebay leds. even though they are super cheap, they are not the best quality. last pair of license plate led i bought were pretty good. but i wanted brighter ones, so bought another set. it came loose once in the license plate so had to shake my trunk to take it out. lol. i recommend you to find led (license plate type 168/194) at least 8smd.

hidoutlet.ca AKA Super Garage in Aberdeen or Reaction in Crystal Mall.
You get local warranty.
I've bought online few times to save a few bucks and EVERY time a few are dead. Ended up just buying local and if I get a bad one they just replace it. Sure beats having to mail stuff back and forth, and waiting weeks.
IMO, for the $1 or so you save per LED it's not worth the hassle.

Thing with projector LEDs is that the bulb has to be pointing outwards or it doesn't do much. On my q45 it didn't really do much. Whereas the same bulb used for reverse on a 05 wrx is blinding.

autolismo.com is local, and will provide what you will actually need rather than over buying.

Ebay has been good for me as well, but usually comes with a 3 week wait. So if you don't want to wait, Autolismo and asr will probably be your best bets.
