I blame the younger generation for not having a healthy interest in cars and donuts.

cause it was moderated by goofs, there are still lots of sick imports and meets going on in vic, just none of them are associated with this forum

Things change, people and priorities change. The car scene in this town has also changed. Some for the good and others for worse.

who wants to listen to a bunch of kids beak off constantly? Car forums used to be about community and togetherness and to learn from each other. It turned into a bunch of kids spouting off thinking they're clever with sarcasm "sarcasm is a sign of a weak mind".

Just needs some people promoting it here on the Island. Get some mods that are willing to basically be salesmen, hand out cards/lanyards/stickers at meet ups, post regularly with updates or just on random topics. Drive some action back here... I will do what I can if others want to throw some effort in too. There is no reason we cant make it popular and useful for Island tuners and enthusiasts again.

"sarcasm is a sign of a weak mind".

whens the last time you heard someone really stupid use sarcasm well.. maybe they are just very stupid and you assumed the stupidity was sarcasm!

i dont wanna get flamed but REVSCENE isnt a car focused forum, its a forum for people who happen to like cars.. at least thats what it is now, 90% of this forum does not touch their own cars with tools or would even know how to begin to "not trolling, just stating a fact" but hey.. we gotta learn somehow right!

look at the most popular threads here "fuck up shit what makes you laugh" nothing at all to do with cars!

the problem is the scene itself.. being low, and fitted dosnt challenge anyone.. it makes for nice pictures and thats about it

"competition breeds innovation"

the problem locally is that racing is dying.. what started the scene and would continue to push the scene is dying.

i think more people needa get out to the local tracks.. its amazing the motivation that can come with some competition..

go anywhere with a huge car culture.. racing is in the middle of it

hell im taking my hatch to a frozen lake in 2 weeks so i can race on it! ive been looking forward to this for months.. i will have many issues that i will be forced to figure out, meet plenty of great people that share the same passion and have one hell of a weekend doing so! come spring its autocross season and drag season also!

if the scene isnt evolving its dying.. simple! newer generations are growing up thinking that hanging out at TimHortons weekly is a car scene.. sounds kinda boring to me? i do attend meets but thats just the tip of the iceberg

very sad, but true. There is a way to breathe life back into it, just takes the effort.
