Hey guys.

Just wondering if anybody is going to the Vancouver Auto show?

It starts today on Tuesday.

-definitely going to the Vancouver Auto Show at the convention centre.


The exotics is the show's highlight for me. -taking pictures of the cars that Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Maserati and Aston Martin are displaying at the show.

Based on the link above, there's definitely gonna be quite a few sick cars there.

I'd go only if I was in the market for a new car. Not paying 15$ to see cars like the ones at the automalls or on the streets. The show lacks prototype cars or showcasing new technologies in the auto industry.

Just came back from the media breakfast/preview. It was pretty sweet! Audi, BMW and Benz were the best sections. The supercar area wasn't that great except for the new Aston, which is dropdead gorgeous.

This year, look for models from Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Maserati, and new this year – McLaren.

Or walk around the automall....unless you want to buy a car I see no point to this show anymore and sadly there are not many photo ops at the show now with the crowds of people around any interesting cars.

I enjoy seeing the new cars up close and getting to sit inside some. Even check out the new interiors/features on the Toyotas, Hyundais, VW's, etc.

It's not just about taking pictures of Ferraris and Lambos.

Going to go Saturday. Really curious how the atmosphere is at the convention centre, as BC Place felt really airy and bright in a good way. Plus as many others have mentioned, just want to go check out some cars under one roof, especially some that haven't quite made it to the showrooms yet :D

hey guys! free test drive (hybrids :okay:)! sign up at the toyota booth. you can test drive ct200, es300h, or the prius family. i dont think you need to buy an auto show ticket to do this. its right in front of convention center.

also, you can test drive FORD hybrids. but you have to register AT the auto show. very hidden i think. i didnt even know about it when i came out of the auto show without a stamp to wait for a test drive. i drove a prius c since i driven the lexus hybrids before.

also, it looks like you can either sit or drive the chevy volt and nissan leaf.

THAT SUBARU RC RALLY thing is messed up. A 9 year old got a 16 sec lap time...my best was 40 :okay:. Checked out the new SI with HFP kit and it was very nice inside...also 10th anniversary Lancer definitely peaked my interest.

Cool to see the electric carts also, they did a demo in the underground area and those things are stupid fast. Designo and PT maxi brought some good stuff, especially the McLaren and some of those models.

I hear there is an auction tomorrow, last year my buddy picked up a flat screen super cheap there, I'm debating going again tomorrow just for that.

All in all, the Audi cars look great.

The McLaren looks stunning especially in the metallic red. 600+ hp on such a small car!

The floor-manager for the McLaren booth (Pfaff Leasing) is a great guy.

I was extremely disappointed that new Mercedes CLA was not there! That and the new BMW 6 Series Grand Coupe were basically the only reason I went. The Audi booth really stepped it up from last year but basically the entire show was pretty much the same. Save the 15$ and just look at Autoblog.ca's coverage of the show LoL

The McLaren MP4 and the Aston Martin Vanquish were the highlights for me at this year's show.

Many people noticed the staff at the Kia booth cheering regularly after a person won an instant prize. -kept hearing "Yeeeeaaaah!" non stop at Kia.

Kia gives out fancy tote bags there. I told the Kia guy "Your bags are way better than the paper grocery bags from Nissan. "

He replied " Oh yeah, for sure, bro!". :bigthumb:

I went to the Auto Show last Tuesday with a couple of friends.
Seeing the M6 Gran Coupe in person made me drooool

I enjoyed the BMW and Lexus sections at that venue, also enjoyed looking at the VIP cars near the exotics section.

Anybody notice the Anjuny booth or whatever it was called. With the aired out LS and Bentley Continental Flying Spur. Everything they had was a complete rip-off from the Garson catalog - garson.co.jp
