Too complicated for most users. Handbrake is probably the way to go.

BTW mov i just a container not a codec. You might be able to just rename the file if it's a normal h.264 video. It's odd for a device to play mov and not mp4 though, that's for sure

^I was thinking the same thing. Most people convert the other way from mov to mp4
