Thanks death_blossom..=)
Was driving in the middle lane of granville down around 52nd and 53rd heading north. A lineup of cars were in the left lane waiting behind a truck that was turning left onto 52nd. One of the cars was a silver accord 4dr, as I drove pass the line up, the silver accord pulled out to try to pass the line up and struck the side of my car (Blue Infiniti G35 2dr). Struck me on middle of my driver side door down to my rear quarter panel. This was around 2:15pm on Saturday April 20th.
Thanks

Is the other guy saying that you cut into his lane or something? Otherwise I don't see how you're at fault at all

Yeah, sounds like ICBC will see that his front right corner came into contact with your door and rear QP. and since the damage is on the middle of the door its obvious that you were already past him and you have the right of way.

Same thing happened to me. I was worried it would be 50/50. Thank god the other driver lied to icbc to make it seem I was driving like a maniac. I was on right lane of a 2 lane street..damage on my left hand driver side but he claims he was on the right land and I somehow squeezed in between him and the sidewalk Lol...adjustor read me his version and I broke out in laughter.
Hopefully your guy tells the truth..or an outrageous lie. Always weary of 50/50..

Yeah what these guys said. I can't really think up a scenario where you'd be at fault with the situation you're in. Dunt stress out too much man, things should pan out alrite no matter what the guy says.

I agree,
But did you take a picture of the positioning of the car before you moved it?
I mean, it would be a no brainer from the damage on your car the other party is at fault. But then again, ICBC likes to try, but a picture would remove any doubt

It has been a month.. you mind as well try CL too. Next time if you are in an accident, don't move the car, document everything before you move.

Thanks for all the responses.. really appreciate it. Hard not to move unless the other vehicle imobilizes you... scrape and pass...
