Good timing and angles. Sunset shots are always the best ones.

Nice work.

Great looking kit. Does it still have an auto tranny and has no engine or powertrain mods? All show and no go.

That's a BIG rear wing...
looks good though

Maybe it's just me but I think it needs meatier tires, a bit more negative camber(nothing retarded) and maybe a tad lower in the rear. Other than that it looks great!

it needs some performance first before wider tires are justified

but in terms of looks, OR did a good job, and glad that they chose a red one and not white (so tired of seeing only white FRS')

OpenRoads car apprently might be for sale later

The island has a Asphalt RB with very much the same setup (wheels and coils)

Meh, I honestly like the look but would rather have just the fenders as I don't like the lip, skirt or rear. I would also mold the kit it looks so much better.

Didn't know what's under the hood so could only comment on the aesthetics. But yes, engine mods are needed on these cars.:okay:

As far as I know (I could be mistaken) the only performance mod is the Invidia cat-back. I can't remember where I saw the list of modifications that this car had but I remember the performance section being really small.

Yeah the car definitely could use some more performance to match its appearance. It's not to everyone's taste but if anything, we can all appreciate loong's photography. Amazing stuff Kevin!

It's because the bodykit fits so well without putting on pounds after pounds of bondo it almost feels sacrilegious to mold it to the car with low-tech bondo and filler.

Perfect fitment = perfect line along the body = might as well save that bondo for lesser bodykits with fitment issues.

Of course you can mold it on for aesthetic reasons, but this is why it often isn't molded on. The other reason is that a lot of cars that have this kit actually see competition use (drifting, mostly) and rivet on wide fenders mean simple and easy replacement when damaged in battle. Pretty simple idea.

hmm sooooo... no turbo, stock baby brakes... all show no go. Looks cool and all but IMO kinda lame when it's stock.

Now the VCMC Turbo FRS, that's an FRS I can get behind.

Yeah, wish it had a little more pep too but gotta keep in mind that it's purely a show car for the store. It's spent most of it's life so far sitting in the show room so a turbo won't do it much good at this point. Whereas this car was built with show being primary and go being secondary, the VCMC frs had the opposite purpose in mind.

It is for sale though so hopefully someone can take it, use this as a base and add the performance that it deserves :)

How much $$$???

And I find it very amusing that these cars have a sport mode along with a SNOW mode.

Lol my guess is 40-45k. Base FRS is 31k all in, Rocket Bunny aero is near 5k before shipping and tax, paint and install probably a couple grand, CF hood and mirrors, exhaust, coilovers, wheels and tires.... Plus other shit I'm probably not including

Molded looks so much better. It's a beautiful car and a beautiful kit but I fucking hate rivets.

It's because the bodykit fits so well without putting on pounds after pounds of bondo it almost feels sacrilegious to mold it to the car with low-tech bondo and filler.

Perfect fitment = perfect line along the body = might as well save that bondo for lesser bodykits with fitment issues.

The other reason is that a lot of cars that have this kit actually see competition use (drifting, mostly) and rivet on wide fenders mean simple and easy replacement when damaged in battle. Pretty simple idea.

It doesn't get much more low tech than rivets. To me it's more sacrilegious to put on a high end kit with something as temporary as rivets. I can understand the ease of removal for a drift car, but 1) this isn't a drift car, 2) these panels are relatively small, it's pretty unlikely that you'll damage the kit without fucking up something else as well.

Well that's where you and a lot of people disagree. I love the rivets. Molded fenders are VERY hard to make look good. At least with rivets you're not trying to fool anyone, you're saying "Yeah, I know.. this car has overfenders and I'm not trying to hide it."

death_blossom

the rivets give it a very race car feel. I also like it. it really depends on what you want when building it. sounds like underscore is more into a cleaner show car look, so molding in the kit is more his style.

the rivets is the raw signature look of the Rocket Bunny kits
