So the phone has been out for a little bit over a week now.
I picked one up a couple days ago and love the amazing screen and build quality.
Still getting used to the Sense 5.0 thing. My last HTC was the Nexus One and after that I was mostly using Samsung phones with ASOP custom roms.
Need to shoot more with the camera but I don't really like the more washed out/less saturated pictures that most HTC phones take.

Speakers are crazy loud and clear with minimal distortion.
Unlocked bootloader, rooted and currently running the TrickDroid 5.2.1 ROM.

Also, I want to know how I can change the DPI because I'm feeling that I'm wasting the 1080p screen with huge icons. Usually I just modify the build.prop file to change the DPI but I've read that it doesn't work on the HTC ONE.

Let's hear from the other HTC ONE owners about this phone :Popcorn

BTW, here are some pictures I took yesterday of my precious. :D

Lookin good. It must be something in Sense that's blocking the DPI settings. You might also wanna flash the custom kernel that enables the HTC logo to become a 3rd capacitive key.

Yup. Will be flashing the custom kernal to support Home2wake and HTC logo as a button ;)

BTW, I only get 2 bars of LTE signal MAX no matter where I go.....indoors or outdoors........

The HTC One camera is as good as 90% of the people using cell phone cameras need it to be.....
snap pic > upload > share

(Still a heck of a lot better than my SGN and N4)

Just got the phone last night. Absolutely love the design and build but wish it was a bit shorter I got small hands so it's kind of annoying trying to reach the power button.

I got a noob question. I've seen a guy on youtube swipe on an empty space on the lock screen to unlock the phone but I can't do it this way. Is it something I have to enable? Im forced to unlock from the lock widget or weather widget

Take a look at this my friend: [KERNEL|05|05|13][teaMSeven_kernel|v3.9.6|VC|BLINKBUTTONS|H2W|LINARO-o3|FULL-OTG] - xda-developers (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2255160)
I'm running this kernal and it's a must have for me now. I don't really touch the power button anymore, except for when I need to reboot to recovery.
You can have different capacitive buttons to turn on/off the screen. It also gives you the option to use the HTC logo as a button.

BTW, I manage to drop my HTC ONE on the 2nd day of owning it and dented a corner. I was fucking pissed because I NEVER drop my phones. OCD as I am I can't live with it so I managed to snatch another BNIB one and sold the dented phone. LOL. Now I'm back in game :p

Anyone have some good case recommendations? I'm gonna pick up a Defender for when I do field work, but for day-to-day city living what are you guys using?

I'm on the fence on the Poetic flipbook. Looks real nice and I like the rubbery backing.
But it doesn't have a cutout on the front flap so you have to flip open every time to take phone calls.
The nilkin flipcase I had on my Note 2 before had cutouts in the flap so I could talk with the flap closed.

A quick question for all you phone experts. Will the Developer's version of this phone work with Rogers/Fido LTE?? I am planning to get the 64GB version.

Yes it should work fine.

Thanks. Just picked one up yesterday! Awesome phone. I got tired of the cheap plastic feeling s3 and the bloated Touchwiz. This is a lot snappier and I prefer sense 5.

After Rogers OTA update, Google maps/navigation no longer say street names. It just says turn left, turn right. Does anyone else have this issue? I'm on stock everything with the latest updates. I've tried uninstalling the Google maps and clearing all data and reinstalling it. Still no luck.

I found that TTS must be English (US) and the phone language must also be English (US) for Google Navigation to speak street names. I tested with my S2 and Nexus 4, don't know about the One though, should be the same.

Thanks, that fixed it! It was annoying the hack out of me not being able to use the navigation to its full potential.
