Got assigned an adjuster that doesn't seem to be local to where I am, different area code and part of the province. Is this usual? I suspect it might be due to the ICBC job action.
Haven't been able to contact her yet.
PS: If you saw anything on hastings & skeena a few days ago, give me a shout.

Could be common, I had a buddy who was involved in a rear ender. His adjuster drove down from Kelowna to Vancouver to estimate his vehicle lol...

My guess is that all the local adjusters are swamped with Richmond residents

pretty common - the adjuster deals with the person; nearly everything can be done over the phone.
The car is estimated by an estimator, or expressed direct to a certified ICBC valet shop.

I hate that intersection.
I got my first rear ender there. So did a friend of mine.
I'm guessing you were in the left lane, first car was turning and the guy behind you thought you were accelerating.
Anyways, ya common. Friend told me his adjuster came from the island

Adjusters don't estimate. Sounds like you really know what you're talking about. :smug:
OP, yeah it's normal. You can deal with them on the phone.

Did the person who hit you live outside of Vancouver? That might be the reason.
