Now that the forum is the "4x4s and the great outdoors" we can start posting about our beloved 4x4's and the great places that they take us. It may inspire others on RS to pick up a 4x4 whether it be a truck or an suv and get on out there to do some hiking or fishing or camping or shooting, etc...
Here's a few of my outdoor photos.

yeah. haha
technically they are not road legal since they are not approved by DOT if i recall correctly.
im not sure about this model but most of them just bolt to the hubs like a regular tire so you could probably swap them on and off at the trail head with your stock tires.

There is an old jeep crushed under those rocks and a bunch of stacked logs next to it that are tied together like it use to be a bridge. Water was too fast and deep to get to the other side and investigate :( Need to try and find that place again.

Heading out this morning, in fact... I expect to be at the Furry Creek FSR turnoff for about 10, if you can make it, you're welcome to join :) Just look for the black stock YJ with bcjeepclub.ca stickers. Another group is meeting at Westview Mall at 11:30 to join us up there.
If you're not on bcjeepclub.ca, you should be (you drive an XJ, so you qualify... barely :troll:) - there's a group going up Britannia almost every weekend. Last weekend a good-sized group went up Elaho Valley, and the weekend before that we did a "Newby Run" up to Hale Creek (http://www.revscene.net/forums/685213-bcjc-newby-run-hale-creek-june-9-13-a.html) with a total of 33 rigs.

you don't need "lt" tires.
you need some all-terrains lol... P rated all terrain tires will be just fine as you most likely wont be towing.
Maybe I should check out some used tires soon lol.

The Elaho side is pretty tame - mostly a bumpy, dusty road. Any 4x4 action is found from splitting off and heading up the hills or down the off-shoots.

Went out this past weekend to Skagit Valley Provincial Park and the Ross Lake campground. Put my new window screens (http://www.revscene.net/forums/686306-brians-1997-4runner-limited-28-8bps-stahp-nao-%2A-light-mods-heavy-pictures.html#post8287556) into use and slept in my 4Runner. Was a little warm as I didn't have the sunroof or front screens done yet and no fan, but packing up on Sunday was two minutes of putting my cooler and two chairs into my truck and driving off. Great success...

Gave the truck some more pin striping, courtesy of the road less traveled while getting a Christmas tree with my family. There was a new Ford and a new Dodge parked a few kilometres down the narrow trail - I guess they don't like their trucks to look like a truck. ;)

I decided to get in on the fun in this thread. This is my Forester after getting up Boer Mountain Road - it's a FSR that's mainly used by the MTB club around the area to access their trails and to service a few communications antennas at the top. That's where I stopped to take this picture. Got a few funny looks as it's mostly big HD trucks or lifted Jeeps out where I am, and right now it's mainly quads going to the top like I did.

was at a wedding at a resort called the west coast wilderness lodge on the weekend located up in Edgemont. heres a few pics from the balcony/skookumchuck.

my balcony view
http://i60.tinypic.com/zkn1nn.jpg
down the road, 10 minute walk, theres a trail to hike to view the skookumchuck. I've heard about it before, never thought it was as fast moving and rough as i saw it. i watched a fishing boat struggle to go against it while staying in a straight line.
http://i62.tinypic.com/28uqwap.jpg
hard to see, i only had my phone as a camera...but in the middle is was basically a whirl pool...looked almost like someone pulled a drain plug right underneath it

not sure if i ever put this one up before. but if not, this ones from a while ago, maybe end of january'ish. went to the top of stave lake where theres enough room for just one camp site. its around 30km in from dewdney. overlooking stave lake. theres an ever so sexy stewie standing in the picture

^ I see you picked yourself up a ram!!!
How do you like it so far
Did you get a 2500 or 3500?
Fuel range seems kinda low for that much fuel... Mine shows around 600 at that 3/4 level

1500 Black Sport Edition! Pre-blacked out from the factory. :fullofwin:
My fuel mileage is terrible because of super short commute + super steep hills in my area. Also I had been doing a lot of gravel/dirt recently, as well as hauling a bunch of stuff for community projects. I'm averaging 18L/100KM for in-town-ish driving. When I go highway it gets lots better, around 12L/100KM.

Loaded up with 8ft 2x4's (about 1200-1300lbs) and 3 guys, we climbed a forestry/fire road to the top of the local mountain to store supplies for the mountain biking club.

^ looks sweet dude!
Did you get the Air suspension option? Or is that just the two by fours weighing your bed down
Personally I'm not a fan of blacking out the hemi/ram 1500 emblems, I was gonna black those out too but think I'm just gonna debadge the ram 1500 and keep the hemi chrome/red
Is that a roll n lock tonneau?

No air suspension on mine, just a heavy load haha. I didn't really want the air suspension because I thought it might be a source of future problems. The black on black on black looks really menacing in person, I thought I was done with owning dark colored vehicles but this truck has got real presence in person. The hemi red badge is still there so its not all black on the side. The front grille still has the chrome strips so not too monotone up front either.
It's a hard quad folding tonneau cover that I got at the dealership, Mopar-branded. So far so good it hasn't leaked yet! In the north people don't like the roll n locks because they can freeze on you in the winter.
