What is the best place to get suits? I've heard Indochino is really good apparently, has anyone here have experience with them? What other places are good?

I've been to Tip Top and Le Chateau LOL

Those are hardly the best places unless you are referring to the cheapest places.

It depends.

How much are you going to wear the "said" suit?

Is it for everyday work?

Or, a one-time event (or a one per month event thing)?

If it is a one-time or one per month thing, go for a low-cost option.

If it is an everyday work thing, go for a high-quality modest/high priced option.

Low-cost:
1-Moore's (but watch out! suits are cheap, but the dress shirts and accessories are at least 50% more than department stores... and they will "persaude" you to buy one... Just DON'T GIVE IN)
2-Department Stores
3-Mexx (50% off everything right now... I just bought some stuff there)
4-Harry Rosen (Yes, they do sell low-cost stuff like Calvin Klein suits)
5-Custom tailors - yes, they are actually low cost and you MIGHT enjoy the experience. It also depends on the fabric and quality.

Modest:
1- Harry Rosen
2- Le Chateau
3- Zara (great for the "modern" type of look)

Good luck.

Just remember to SHOP AROUND.

Moores got that buy one, get one free almost everything in store sale happening, but each suit runs to $600 or more each, but in value, your getting two suits for 300 each

Not really racist!

Indochino I find is a hit and miss, Le Chateau is terrible with my experience.

Are you looking for a one/two-time suit or a daily suit?

Nordstorm Rack
You can get a $1200-1300 suit for $500-800 easily.
Or a $500-800 Hugo or CK suit for $300-400.

Sorry should have been more clear. I never said those places were good, from my experience the suits there aren't good at all and I'm looking for the best places to find good quality suits ranging from $500 - $1000.

For one time events here and there

If you want to stay north of the border
That price range will get you a Boss suit from Harry Rosen
Or a Samuelsson or even Coppley

South of the border
You can get Zzegna, Versace and even Dolce for around $1000

always, always, get your suit tailored.

the only thing you need to consider is how often you are going to wear the suit, and that will lead you to something that is higher end and will last longer, or something from mexx that has good seasonal sales, and sufficient for a few times a year.

At the end of the day, you need to get the suit tailored, and will be forking out some cash for that. it's not just about making sure the sleeves and pants are tailored. the body of the suit needs to be taken in so it is a clean fitted look. I rather wear an HM suit thats tailored properly, than something from Hugo Boss that isn't.

Blair Shapera Custom Clothing (http://www.blairshapera.com)

Starts at $700 tax-in for a Canadian made MTM suit. I've got a couple from Blair and I am very satisfied. I would never go off-the-rack to be honest.

Be careful with buying wool because they can get hot if you wear them for a while and the weather is warm, I prefer a blend.

you can get lighter weight wools that is summer appropriate.

wool is still the most versatile and professional suit.

Cotton or linen suits are fine for summer only, but looks off if you wear them in other seasons.

look at a 3 pc summer-weight wool suit.
in the winter month the vest acts like a mid layer giving you some extra warmth.

the summer time, you have the option of not wearing the vest making it a little cooler.
