If that was the case, you would keep the OLD toys they gave you, and you could go to another mcdonalds and trade that one in for a despicable me toy.

Control of toys is straight through Martin Brouwer... a company in charge of shipping everything to each McDonalds... amount of toys to each restaurant obviously based on volume (i.e you can order like 6 cases, but in reality they give u like 3), while at the same time there are no guarantees that a restaurant will get every single toy every different order (every 5 days). Considering these toys are quite popular I'd actually expect them to be sold out pretty quick and yeah most stock rooms have a couple cases of old toys that get used every now and then. It's not surprising that a store can completely run out of toys... then you get an extra yogurt lol.

I know that Kerrisdale normally has a shitload of old toys.. :lol

You guys could probably just call each store and ask what they have in stock... some people even ask to have them saved for them by name... :lol

TLDR;
restaurants have no control over how many toys, what kind of toys they receive, ask when their next Brouwer is then keep adding 5 days for the next delviery

Went to another 5 the next day (Friday), and then finished on Saturday when our friend went down to Seattle and found the remaining 2 we needed. Most unnecessary stress ever for 3 days. I feel bad for the peeps who got in on this minion craze late as McD's is running out of the first few (#1 #2) that were released

Best $12 we ever spent.

If you're really looking at getting the whole set and don't mind driving, the McDonalds just after the Aldergrove border in the US had all of them as of last Sunday.

When I asked about the toys, they said they had all of them in moderate quantity. I ended up buying the ones I wanted, but the whole set should still be available.
