Picking up my smh10-10 from Point Roberts tomorrow! Paid $230 on ebay for the dual.

FYI, all smh10's except SMH10A are firmware upgradable.

There are minor differences between the smh10-10 and the smh10-11. Personally, I rather use the boom than the flimsy wire mic.

Boom cancels out noise better, but it sticks out. Wire mic is convenient if you want everything tucked in

Ok. I'm down at modern and there is a miscommunication with them.

As it stands the version he's referring to is the smh-10d2. It is the sets that are new for this series, however does not include the stick on mike, only boom mike included. Reason is the stick on mike version is mainly for snowmobile. He can order those at additional $20/set for individuals that want that.

I've picked up my set which is the smh10d2. Actual product pics attached

Also, if anyone is still interested in this group buy, instead of collecting all the cash etc and doing a mass buy I've setup a promo code between them and Revscene for this product. PM me if you wish to get it and take advantage of it.

Sorry for the confusion with the product. I thought I was crystal clear with him.

my helmet just got exponentially heavier.

Ghost HD cam on the right, Sena on the left. :lol

atleast it's balance both sides now, or I can mount GhostCam on bike instead.

I had to hard mount this instead of using the clamp-on mount due to the ergonomics of my helmet, but I can always get a spare mount for other helmets and transfer with ease.

10-11 is listed as a universal kit, but geared towards flip-up helmets on snowmobiles etc.

I've just tested mine earlier on highway, clear communications only without buildings and such around, otherwise good range as expected.

CharlieH is right on the money :) i'm happy with the boom mike as it's not a big hindrance or eyesore, barely noticeable.

i'll post a pic of it mount on one of my helmets soon.

on droids, when you connect or after you pair your phone, go into the setting to either enable or disable media from your phone, that way if you were to pair or connect another BT media player it will recognize it as such.

On the Iphone you press and hold the small button on the sena until siri speaks. It's probably the same.

yes, as Raiden mentioned it's multi point. What phone do you have?

geist of it: having both paired and connected, in your android phone menu, go into bt > sena , it should show you phone connected and media connected, uncheck the media portion so your phone's onboard media player will not be default, but ipod will be.

one touch voice activation for phone function should be a brief depress of the dedicated phone button.

you have to disable the media function for the BT on your phone like NR said. otherwise it will be trying to control the media player on your phone not the ipod

SAN JOSE, Calif. (Nov. 4, 2013) – Sena Technologies, Inc., a Bluetooth innovator in the motorcycle and outdoor activities market, has released a Universal Intercom feature for the full product line of units. The Universal Intercom is a unique technology to the industry as it provides cross-brand interoperability to the users with a conference intercom capability. The advanced technology helps the continued establishment of Sena as the leader in the Bluetooth communication market.

“Sena’s mission towards innovative products and advanced technology has allowed us to continue to provide technological upgrades to our current products as well as all-new products coming to market. Motorcycle Bluetooth systems have improved dramatically, however, the users have not been able to pair two different brands of motorcycle Bluetooth systems. This is unfortunate,” said Sam Kim, Vice President of Marketing, Sena Technologies Inc. “The Universal Intercom feature allows Sena users to have an intercom conversation with Sena Bluetooth systems as well other brand Bluetooth systems. It also enables Sena users to talk with universal Bluetooth headsets as well while on the road.”

The Universal Intercom is a key function of Sena’s headsets and allows riders to communicate via conference intercom with non-Sena Bluetooth products. It reaches a distance of 200 meters (220 yards) to 700 meters (760 yards), depending on the performance of the non-Sena Bluetooth device. The Universal Intercom feature will be provided with the new firmware upgrade as well as all upcoming new products. It will be equipped with the v5.0 firmware for both the SMH10 and SPH10 lines and v2.0 firmware for the SMH5 lines. The new firmware is scheduled to be released in December, and current Sena users will be able to take advantage of new technology with a simple firmware upgrade.
